Great pricing. Good for students. Pretty quiet and value oriented. Fish and chips are pretty good for the price. The complimentary chips would be a usp for them. Tho the chips just taste "fried". Have to go with the sauces. Taste: Fish and chips (Cod)4/5 recommended value dish Chicken cutlet 3/5 too much skin and dough Yakitori rice 1/5 waay salty. No one could finish it Mushroom soup 2/5

Went on a Friday afternoon, not too packed. Food came fast, order and payment was online. Claire was my server and she was very nice. We even had a quick chat when she saw my shopping bag. They gave chips - on the house. The sauce was good. It’s been a while since I ate here so I forgot how good the food was. The ice lemon tea was sugarless tho. Not sure if they provide syrup/sugar packet Thank you staff and team!

We arrived at around 4:50pm and the restaurant was quite empty but there was no staff attending to us or showing us to a table. After waiting for a while, we eventually decided to just go in and seat ourselves. (table 11) I placed my order at 4:53pm, but my food only arrived at around 5:20pm. What was more frustrating was that my friend ordered the same food and hers arrived at 5:05pm while mine came about 20 minutes later. By then, I didn't have enough time to properly finish my meal. I tried to get a takeaway box for my leftovers, but there was no staff at the counter. I approached the only staff member who was serving another table and asked for help but was told to wait. He appeared to be busy asking the customers at another table for a 5-star review, and unfortunately never came back to assist me. In the end, I had to leave without being able to pack my leftover food. Also from 4:50pm to 5:20pm we never received the complimentary chips. Are customers supposed to specifically request them? Previously dined it there and it was served to us before our food arrive. Overall the service was very disappointing, especially considering the restaurant was relatively empty when we arrived.

Disappointed. This outlet serve my garlic bread cold. I have been to the Tampines outlet and it was hot and crispy. Not up to standard. Fried calamari tastes terrible. It is so overcooked that it is so hard to eat. I had ordered it before from Tampines outlet and it tastes great. This chef from this outlet is totally not well trained. Half of my fries are cold. I don’t understand how is this possible but it is really possible. Not sure where the cold fries come from but the thought of it really disgusts me.

I decided to revisit Big Fish Small Fish after nearly a decade because I remembered them for their generous portion of chips. While I understand that shrinkflation affects many businesses, the quality of the food should still be maintained. I ordered the fish and chips, but the fries were disappointingly soft instead of crispy. I informed the manager, who was polite and kindly replaced them, so I appreciate the good service. Unfortunately, the second batch was just as soft, so I eventually gave up and ate what I could. The fish itself was also underwhelming. The batter didn't taste fresh and had a flavour that reminded me of food cooked in old oil, which really affected the overall enjoyment of the meal. It's disappointing because I had fond memories of this place. While I appreciate the manager's effort to resolve the issue, the food quality simply didn't meet expectations. Sadly, this wasn't a good experience, and I don't see myself returning.
