Some improvements to be made: - train your service staff on product knowledge - improve cleanliness and clean more regularly. only two seating counters but the staff didn’t even bother to clean -have a toaster option to heat up pastries for customers and teach your staff how to operate it Good bakes but very lacking in operations. Drinks were surprisingly good though.
View on GoogleWhat I tried: - Signature 1946 Whole Red Bean Bread (s$4.90) - K-Ginseng Shake (s$7.00) Staff is super friendly, do note that you cannot pay with paywave/visa /mastercard so remember to either bring cash or if you are local and have paynow you can use that to pay. - The red beans had a really good texture and there wasn’t too much sugar in the bun, so you can really appreciate the quality of the red beans. - The ginseng drink was better than I expected. The taste is the earthy taste of ginseng and again, the ingredients seem to be authentic. Good job! The only two things that I suggest to improve is the ambience (it is a pop-up so you will feel like you sit in the middle of the walking corridors) and the fact that they do not support visa/mastercard is a shame as I think many tourists would then choose another place.
View on GoogleMatcha didn’t taste like matcha but staff did warn me about the taste but still I wanted to try it hehe it tasted more like jasmine :( but the ice bingsu tasted so good!! The lemonade isn’t pure lemonade is like sprite + flavoured syrup but still tastes good! Staff was friendly!! And kind❤️
View on Googlekinda sad and bummed out cause I wanted to get the mandarin buns yesterday. Checked the opening hours online and I'm not sure if I missed out any announcements (the latest I saw was them not opening on the first and second day of CNY) and arrived around 7pm to the store being empty :/ Wasn't sure if the store was on break or if they've sold out for the day? Because I walked around and saw no staff, no bread, nothing. There was quite abit of litter so I wasn't sure if it has been closed for a day or longer. I didn't take pictures because I was in a rush, I really wanted to get the mandarin buns for a party :,) Sad. Will try my luck at suntec instead I guess.
View on GoogleI visited the bakery yesterday in the early evening and bought myself two of the limited edition lucky mandarin bread. There seems to only be one person working that day and I waited a few minutes for the man in charge to come back to the bakery so I can pay. He is really nice and even suggested that I should go to the Suntec outlet for fresher bakes and larger selection of pastries! When I went home, I gave my aunt both the 'oranges' and she was shocked when I told her that it was a pastry since she thought it was an actual orange. We shared the orange together and it is so good! Creamy and aromatic, truly delicious! Of course, it is quite costly, for $5.50 for one of it but it is the quality that truly matters as well as the taste. Next year, I would definitely come back and buy the box of six for my family to share the joy and happiness of a new year (please let it come back next year, I really want to buy the lucky mandarins)
