Very nice place for a lazy Sunday buffet branch Good value for money. Small spread but to me it was quality over quantity. Highlight for me was the Japanese oysters, the black pepper crab, and the meats. They grill it to your preference perfectly. Medium rare steak was delightfully done right! Desserts was a surprising highlight for me. Sarawak pineapples and sweet pomegranate for fruits and decadent cakes. Service was top notch. Attentive and friendly. The staff was pretty young (temps?) but they were definitely had been given great training. Will come again!
View on GoogleGreat food during the restaurant week. Had a brunch with Alley on 25 and was impressed. Pretty nice eggs and everything else. Selection wasn't great, but each item is unique and good. And the drinks, tea tarik, orange, orange carrot ginger, were great! Will definitely be back here again.
View on GoogleHad a really enjoyable lunch at Alley on 25, once we eventually found our way to Andaz through the labyrinth that is DUO! 😂 The salad buffet has a decent spread with plenty of variety, and at S$18++, I thought it was decent value for money. Special compliments to Jeremy Soh, who was warm, attentive and generous. When we asked about the tempeh chips and cookies, he happily brought us extra. It was a small gesture that made the experience even more enjoyable. Good food, great value and genuinely thoughtful service. Would happily return!
View on Googlewe did the mothers day specials over the weekend, and i must say it was short of the enthused expectations we looked forward to. It is understandable menu itewms do rotate even though it was not listed online, but the actual day menu stated there is mee siam and it wasn't available? moreover the laksa was overly sweet, could give the nutella a fight, it is probably pre-mix and yes tastes may be subjective, still it really overpowered the spices. you do not calll that croque monsieur, it was not grilled to crisps, and resembles yakun kaya toast white bread and overly soft? you did put yourself to shame if a french was dining there. peri chicken was chicken breast, extremely poor handling before grilling, you need to soak it with some flour or baking soda, wth are your chefs doing? its tough, dry, coarse even additional peri sauce could'nt save the day. satay and grilled lamb chops all charred and burned, dont even bothered to remove charred parts, such a disgrace. waiting staffs are cool, they effortlessly work non stop and despite not being overly crowded, they still struggled to clear plates fast, however they really did their very best and is attentive, even the server handling the flank beef was a great and smiley guy, serving fast and efficiently like the oysters guy, they did a great job to clear the queue. the desserts were the gems, they workout very well. yes, may be very common but they were good. so good that i rather you themed it as a dessert high tea buffet. and the chocolate tartlets were not offered on that day, big dissapointment as thats what i was looking forward to. items were gone very quickly and alost no to little effort was made to top up, even though the place was not full house on that day.. items such as parma ham, it clears up real fast, and although i heard a 2nd attempt was made to topup, but i showed up within minutes it was empty again, some greedy glutton must have been eyeing that counter like a hawk taking it all. Despite sitting through from open til close, i never get to see parma ham top up. not only that, many items also faced the same misrerly issues, such as satay gone by 1pm no topup, nor the prawns, parma ham, ondeh ondeh etc. ketupat was disgusting, coarse, lumpy and unfresh feel. the big brekkie with the truffled ketchup was the only hot food that is approvingly delicious, we did ordered the others like chawan mushi, crab omelette etc they are all pretty good too, but its a gimmick, its free flow and these are very dense heavy food, if u eat just one portion, as an average eater, you are very much done. we saw a large table sitting next to the dimsum counter, they pigout on the ala carte egg selections, every single diner had one full egg selection at least, and they were done before 1.15pm lol. overall, this is valued for money if u paid the 55bucks early bird promo, the fanfare is a fresh concept, but if you really sat down you did realised, you are better off doing ala carte on the egg selections, it however bodes well for cafe lovers in singapore, you pay a price and get all these cafe fanfare for unlimited servings, tastes are subjective for the buffet hot food and a lot are really awful or at best, below average (rendang, laksa, satay). i still prefer the weekend high tea they used to have pre covids in the different rooms, maybe you guys wanna look at bringing it back, fully utilise your business growth after 230pm perhaps?
View on GoogleI went for lunch with my colleagues today. I didn't have much expectations. My first time here but I was at Mr.Stork before on the top floor and loved the margherita pizza and hummus. Some ordered char kuay teow, arrabiata pasta, curry chicken (forget what's that called) and burger. I ordered en papilotte catch of the day (red snapper today) and it was light and delicious. I went for the 2 course lunch set and so I ordered the papaya salad too. One of us ordered the coconut creme brulee and he said it was good. The lunch set (whether 2 course or 3 course) is good value for money and you can choose from wide variety of food!
