The food here is packed with flavour. We ordered the pandan chicken, garlicky prawn glass noodle, tom yum, kangkung, sweet and sour fish, and basil chicken. Most of the dishes were delicious and well seasoned, especially the garlicky prawn glass noodle and pandan chicken, which were the highlights of the meal. The tom yum, kangkung, and sweet and sour fish were very nice too. The only disappointment was the basil chicken, which did not quite live up to the other dishes. We also ended the meal with mango sticky rice, which was pretty good. A no frills spot for Thai food, but one that delivers on flavour. Do note that they only accept cash or eWallet payments.

Very authentic Thailand food in Singapore. Run and cooked by Thailand, they even hired disabled workers, salut. The basil pork is the most authentic i have eaten across whole SG. Very near to bangkok’s authentic hawker’s taste but with better environment setting. Tomyam fried rice is another amazing dish! The rice taste flavourful juicy but dry at the same time, coated with authentic spices and just so much wok hey! All the vegetables also tasty and flavourful, very satisfying. Not to forget, tomyam soup is one of the best!! Balance but unforgettable taste in your tongue of the sawadee spices, seafood or meat of your choice, with a dash of coconut milk (creamy version), you can opt for clear soup.

Ah Loy Thai has a genuinely authentic feel, and it really does give you that Bangkok vibe as soon as you step inside. I also liked how the dishes had a distinct flavor that stood out from the usual Thai places nearby. The sweet and sour fish was especially memorable, and overall it made for a very satisfying meal.

Visited Aloy Thai recently and came away with pretty mixed feelings overall. There are definitely some strong points here, especially when it comes to the food itself, but the overall dining experience still feels like it needs better organisation and flow. Food quality-wise, the Seafood Tom Yum Soup was enjoyable with a good balance of spice and flavour, while the Stir Fry Garlic Pork was genuinely delicious and probably the highlight of the meal for me. The pork was fragrant, savoury, and very well executed. Unfortunately, the rice let things down a little as it arrived clumpy and lukewarm, which affected the overall experience more than expected. The environment was quite chaotic during my visit. There were many customers walking in unsure of where to stand or what the process was. I personally walked in and was told to head back outside to wait, and several others around me looked equally confused. The system and communication at the front could definitely be clearer and more organised. On the service side, the door staff and floor staff were all friendly and welcoming. However, the main issue seemed to come from the cashier who was also managing table orders. I waited close to 30 minutes for my food despite ordering and paying early, while multiple larger groups seated after me had already started eating. It genuinely felt like the order handling lacked organisation rather than being a kitchen issue. As a solo diner spending around $34, I honestly expected to be served in a more timely and organised manner. There’s definitely potential here because parts of the food were very good, but the operational side needs improvement.
