Always a favourite spot for delicious wanton noodles! The noodles are springy, the char siew is perfectly caramelised, and the fried wantons are crispy and addictive. Service is quick even when it’s busy, and the portions are generous. A true comfort food gem in town area with affordable hawker food that never disappoints! The only place with fried fish slice or fried chicken cutlet to go with Wanton Noodles when you are tired of fried Wantons.
View on GoogleRecommended to this by a friend, and thought that it was a pretty good wanton noodle! ⏰ it was rather busy on a weekend during lunch, but there’s a lady who helped to move tables and chairs around to accommodate incoming diners who are looking for seats - which i thought was really helpful since there’s quite a fair bit of tourists too. 🍝 the noodle itself was QQ, and goes well with the black sauce. I especially liked the wanton - and luckily i opted to go for both price variants to see the difference since the larger portion has an additional 2 wantons! While it is a little pricey for wanton noodles, it’s fair for the location and the quality.
View on GoogleQuite a lot of bad reviews, it’s alright could be better. But still a credible plate of noodles. The fried wantons are good 👍🏻
View on GoogleI was just around the corner and decided to pop by for dinner. It was about 6.30pm and the stall was relatively quiet with only a few customers. There were two of us and we ordered the chicken feet noodles, wanton mee and a bowl of fried wantons. The noodles were quite good, springy, nice texture and the sauce had a balanced flavour that wasn’t too salty or oily. However, the chicken feet were a letdown. They weren’t braised long enough and ended up being a bit tough, missing that soft, ‘fall off the bone’ texture you’d usually expect. The wanton mee was average. While the noodles were decent, the char siew was disappointing, dry and lacking in flavour. As for the fried wantons, they looked crispy but didn’t deliver much else. There wasn’t any real filling inside, just hollow, fried skin. Service was fast and prices were reasonable, but overall, the food didn’t stand out. I wouldn’t go out of my way to dine unless there are no other options nearby.
View on GoogleDropped by to have early lunch. The fried wanton noodles were… fine. Nothing bad, nothing amazing. The noodles had a decent bite and weren’t overcooked, but the sauce felt a little one-note—savory, slightly oily, and familiar if you’ve had this dish a lot. The wantons were acceptable: skin intact, filling okay, though not especially juicy or flavorful. Overall, it’s the kind of bowl you’ll finish without complaint, but probably won’t crave later. Solid enough if you’re nearby and hungry, just not a standout.
