My aunt’s 75th birthday and I was invited to her birthday celebration at 好来屋 at Burlington Square. It was my first visit to this restaurant and least expect the outcome of the food served. I was ushered into a private room with two big round tables. Most of my cousins, aunts and u clearly were there. Since fish was my aunt’s favourite, there were two fish specialty on the menu on this happy occasion. Let’s see what we ate including a flaming chicken. Omg! Actually it was my first time experiencing this sight. The meat is tender and skin crispy. So yummy 😋

Recommended by a relative to try out this buffet place. Did not disappoint. There was a good selection of food to choose from and the staff will send the food to your table. Able to make your own sauces too. Service was fine as well when I went on a weekend lunch. Am very impressed by the atmosphere and aesthetics of the restaurant. Even our food came well presented. You can also borrow the complimentary traditional clothes to try on for phototaking, which was interesting. Items that have additional costs are bottled drinks, wet tissue, and even the fancy tissue roll.

We had the buffet menu and it comes with an extensive variety of dishes for both steamboat and bbq. Overall the dishes were fresh and our favourite was the thick pork belly cubes. The restaurant gets smoky but still tolerable. The benches were tightly packed and a little too close to the cooking pit. It can get really warm especially since the hotplate ventilator is below the table. Buffet pricing is reasonable. Separate charges for soup base and drinks.

The restaurant can easily accommodate large groups. The small portion sizes are a great way to sample different dishes. The food was satisfactory, but the ventilation in the dining area could be improved. My eyes felt dry after spending some time there.

The food is good. They don't give big portion in case you don't like it, you won't waste food. Just order again from the waitress and they are happy to serve you. I love the prawn and Bbq pork ribs. The baby octopus are quite big too. Do note you have to pay for the soup base. Overall, I like the restaurant atmosphere and the deco.
