At Food, we proudly offer a delectable selection of dishes, including our signature egg prata. Our egg prata is a delightful fusion of flaky, crispy dough layered with savory egg, creating a mouthwatering combination of textures and flavors.

I recently had a meal at Al Jilani Restaurant, and it turned out to be a very satisfying and value-for-money experience right in the heart of the Bugis area. We ordered a few classic dishes—prata, chicken curry, and mutton curry—and overall, it was a solid meal. The prata was nicely done: crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and perfect for dipping. Both the chicken and mutton curry were flavorful and comforting, with a good balance of spices. While I wouldn’t say the curry is the absolute best I’ve ever had in Singapore, it definitely hits the spot and delivers good quality for the price you’re paying. What really stands out about Al Jilani is its convenience and affordability. Located along Bencoolen Street, it’s an easy stop if you’re around Bugis and looking for a quick, hearty bite without spending too much. The casual, no-frills setting adds to its charm—it’s the kind of place you can drop by anytime, whether for a simple meal or even supper. For anyone exploring the Bugis area and craving something warm and satisfying, this is a great option. It may not be the most premium Indian-Muslim restaurant out there, but for its price point and location, it offers excellent value. I would definitely recommend it to anyone nearby and would come back again for another easy and enjoyable meal.

Outstanding food Reasonable prices Friendly service Popular with locals Open 24 hours Good location Tipping not permitted So many things to like, but mostly it was the delicious mutton curry and Teh O that hit the exact spot😉 The vibe was local and the joint was jumping at 11:00PM (as was the nearby Middle Child Bar) I am not sure who labelled this place as an Iranian restaurant but it was most decidedly Indian food, of the simple and simply excellent variety. Sinay says: Make a combination of a late night visit to Al-Jilani and an even later night visit to Middle Child Bar? Don't mind if I do😍

Mee Goreng (SGD $9.60) @ Al-Jilani Restaurant. . Since August 2004, this street side fast casual 24-hour eatery has been a go-to in town, from when I used to work nearby. . Their rendition is among the more asthetically pleasing, thanks to the perfectly fried chicken egg shaped by a round mould, with eggy sweet savoury flavour. . The dish itself is delicious, the soft chewy yellow noodles, crisp bean sprouts, wispy chicken egg, and tender beef slices, all in a vibrant orange hue, with bold smoky grainy eggy vegetal sweet savoury salty meaty spice flavour. . Bits of chili give it a good fiery kick. . . . Mutton Soup And Sup Kambing (SGD $8) @ Al-Jilani Restaurant. . Since August 2004, this street side fast casual 24-hour eatery has been a go-to in town, from when I used to work nearby. . Their rendition has a unique creamy medium-thick texture to the soup / broth, rich and spice-forward, with a greater use of turmeric. The boneless mutton chunks are tender while the caramelised yellow onions are soft. Has pleasant meaty savoury salty earthy spice flavour, mild yet enticing and tasty. . Served alongside crisp toasted buttered baguette bread slices, carrying bready sweet savoury toasty buttery flavour.

Prata tasted good. All the Singaporean Dishes we tasted were excellent. Teh is superb. There are few Tamil speaking waiters who are very kind and helpful. They guided us very well in selecting food as we were new to the place. Price is also competitive.
