The Kind Bowl was created with the belief that food can nourish both our bodies and the planet, embracing the idea of "Let food be thy medicine." The first time I came here, I had absolutely no idea it was a vegetarian restaurant. I ordered their "chicken" pho and genuinely enjoyed it without realising it wasn't meat. That experience alone made me want to come back and explore more of the menu. We started with the Oyster Mushroom Fritters, Crab Tofu and Summer Rolls. My favourite has to be the mushroom fritters. They're light, crispy and sprinkled with just the right amount of chilli powder, giving them an extra layer of savoury goodness. I honestly couldn't stop reaching for them. The Summer Rolls were another highlight. Fresh, crunchy and paired with their house-made dipping sauce, they were simple but incredibly satisfying. For the mains, we went with the BBQ Grill and Bun Cha. If nobody told me these were vegetarian dishes, I would never have guessed. The flavours were rich, the textures were spot on, and for once, I didn't miss eating meat at all. Every bite was delicious. To finish, we had their seasonal Soy Bean Jelly with Bubble Tea Pearls. Light, refreshing and not overly sweet, it was the perfect ending to the meal. We also paired everything with their house-made drinks, the Iced Lemon Tea and Pomegranate Detox, which complemented the food beautifully. I'm definitely a meat lover, but meals like this remind me that vegetarian food doesn't have to be boring. If it tastes this good, I'd happily come back again.
View on GoogleWe tried the comforting The Kind Pho, the award-winning BBQ Delight with cold rice vermicelli, crispy spring rolls and grilled soy “pork”, as well as the Deep-Fried Spring Rolls and Oyster Mushroom Fritters. The mushroom fritters were one of my favourites and definitely something I’d order again! We also had the Crab Tofu as part of our spread. To go with the meal, we had the refreshing Pomegranate Detox and Iced Passionfruit Lemon Tea. For dessert, the Silky Road was a fun combination of homemade blue pea jelly, oat milk, bubble tea pearls and crunchy peanuts, giving us a nice mix of textures in every bite.
View on GoogleThe broth of the Ha Noi Pho ($15.60) was light, tasty and interestingly tasted like a typical beef pho even though it has no beef. But still if you are a non-vegetarian, you may not be used to the "no-beef" protein which tasted like gluten meat. The meatless contrast wasn't that obvious when it comes to the crab tofu, summer roll (this is packed with vegetables to begin with). The skin of the summer roll was rather chewy. We also had the Silly Road, a homemade jelly with bubble tea pearls, peanuts and oatmilk. Aromatic, milky and doesn't weigh you down after the meal.
View on GoogleThis spot is 100% plant-based and honestly? It hits different. ✨ HA NOI PHO🍜 Rich, tender, perfectly spiced broth, packed with rice noodles, “banana ham” (plant-based), “no beef” protein, and stir-fried mushrooms. Basically a hug in a bowl.💛 THE KIND PHO ✨ Silky flat noodles in a light but flavorful umami broth, topped with marinated “no chicken” seitan and grilled oyster mushrooms. Flavor explosion!🔥 Golden Perfection (2pcs) 🌯 ICrispy spring rolls—super crunchy outside, warm and savory inside, dipped in a 10/10 sauce.💯 CRAB TOFU 🦀 A total plot twist—the "crab" patty is actually made from tofu and veggies. It’s high-key impressive how they nail the texture. SILKY ROAD 🍮 A dessert so dreamy and aesthetic, you need a pic before you eat it!📸 FRESH PASSIONFRUIT ICED LEMONADE TEA 🍋 Sour, sweet, super refreshing. Perfect for cooling down! VIETNAMESE ICED OAT COFFE ☕️ Classic bold Vietnamese coffee, now dairy-free and silky smooth.💛 No gatekeeping here—The Kind Bowl is a certified must-try. ✌️✌️✨
View on GoogleAmazingly tasty home cooked food. The kind of vegetarian restaurants you take all of your friends to and you don't need to tell them it's veg; noone will miss the meat from how tasty this is. The soup broths are great, the garnishes generous, and I like the "pay and get a buzzer" system. This place gets very busy (and I don't think there are reservations) so come prepared for a little wait, but it'll be worth it.
