This outlet delivers a fairly average experience by the brand’s usual standards, with the roast meats being competent but not particularly outstanding. That said, the free-flow soup is a genuinely commendable value-add and easily the highlight of the meal—light, comforting, and generously offered, which sets this outlet apart from its other branches. While the mains may not impress on their own, the unlimited soup goes a long way in compensating for what the food otherwise lacks, making the overall experience satisfactory rather than memorable.

Absolutely love the food here, it’s simple but flavorful and accessible. Char siew fatty in the right way and everything glazed nicely. Pork skin crispy. My husband says he preferred the rice over the noodles. Service is fast and good for an easy meal at any hour. Portions are a little small but affordable. As others mentioned the guys serving the food are a bit abrasive between yelling and rudeness to customers. Watched them make fun of a man’s accent which could be played off as playful but some might consider genuinely rude. They seem younger so maybe just goofing off. Personally just here for the food and while friendly workers are nice your interaction lasts maybe 3 minutes, but if politeness matters more to you maybe find somewhere else. Basically 5 stars for food, 4 overall experience.

Despite asking the chef to cook the noodles longer, they still came out hard and rubbery—clearly cheap, low-grade noodles from a supplier trying to cut corners. The stinginess with the sauce is another issue. There’s barely any given, making the noodles dry and flavorless. Without enough sauce, the noodles can’t absorb anything, and it ends up tasting plain and uninspired. Just like what I heard from other patrons—no more wanton noodles. Instead, they’re pushing more expensive items with little justification. This feels like a chain more focused on upselling than delivering quality. If the owner doesn’t rethink this business model and stop serving sub-par food, it’s only a matter of time before this place loses all its customers. A real shame.

Flavourful Soya Sauce Chicken! I love their soya sauce chicken noodles. The sauce is super tasty, chicken tender and flavourful, noodles springy and hot. Their charsiew and duck looks good too. Don’t forget to try their complimentary soup! Its the best soup i’ve had in a hawker center. Service is fast and the area has a great kampung feel in the middle of central Singapore!

A much more affordable version of roasted meat around the area, in comparison to Fook Kin just down the street. To be honest the quality is still there and good enough for sure to satisfy some cravings and enjoy a good range of tender cuts. Portion is just right. $4.30 for the meal I had which is very reasonable. No complaints. Decent coffeeshop environment with parallel parking available too. 5mins walk from Somerset MRT. Not somewhere I would intentionally travel to town for something convenient and tasty for sure if you are in the vicinity.
