The sukiyaki meat was good, but the broth on its own was pretty greasy and bland. The tomato cheese risotto was an interesting idea but they used pre cooked rice so it lacked the al dente texture I love in risotto. We appreciate it but would think twice before returning.
View on GoogleThis is our go-to spot whenever we’re craving sukiyaki. We’ve been here a few times already and it has never disappointed. The food is consistently good, especially the beef, and everything is fresh. But what really keeps us coming back is the service. The staff are always so friendly, attentive and make you feel well taken care of without being over the top. You can tell they genuinely care about the dining experience. Every visit has been enjoyable, and that’s why we always end up coming back whenever we’re in the mood for sukiyaki. Highly recommended, especially the spicy tomato sukiyaki with cheese risotto!
View on GoogleI think it has not been obvious that every person had to pay for each set. Sharing is never an option even it mention minimum 2 person to order. So we 3 were caught by surprise and felt compelled to order each set per person even we are all sharing 1 hotpot and hit the minimum 2 to order. 3rd person if u need a different hotpot u top up $10 on top of the 1 more person set. It's also really pricey for the kind of service to keep reminding u that u have to stop exactly in 2 hours time. 2 hrs is from the moment u step in not from the moment they serve. So to me this is buffet payment concept but within a hotpot portion, nothing is free flow and with time limit. Other then that food, service and ambience is good.
View on GoogleFusion sukiyaki with twist of chilli and tomato. Beef was excellent. Finishing with cheese risotto is definitely interesting! Yummy. But too pricey for IMO. Especially given the ID of the shop, and shape of the amenities in the shop. Making it ~100 for 100g beef would have been a better option.
View on Google⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Kuroya is hands down the best fusion sukiyaki I’ve ever had – and what amazes me most is that after all these years, the taste is still just as good as the very first time I tried it. The broth is everything you want in sukiyaki: rich, savoury, and slightly sweet without being overpowering. The beef is always tender and melts in your mouth, and the vegetables and sides are fresh, well thought out, and perfectly complement the hotpot. What really stands out is the consistency. Many places tend to change over time – recipes get tweaked, quality slips – but Kuroya has kept the same high standard, visit after visit. It feels like coming back to a favourite comfort food that never disappoints. If you love sukiyaki or just want a hotpot that’s hearty, satisfying, and unforgettable, Kuroya should be on your list. It’s easily a place I’ll keep coming back to, again and again.
