Stopped by Artichoke for lunch with our dogs while exploring New Bahru. We got the bacon apple pie slab and the beef ragu pasta. The pasta was nice but nothing too commendable. The bacon apple pie though, surprised us! It tasted like a dessert, with cinnamon and apple slices paired with a crispy bread base. That savoury-sweet combo was right up our alley. Staff were also very sweet to our dogs. Only complaint: the restaurant was only pet-friendly at the outermost three tables, despite having other outdoor seating too.
View on GoogleCan get a little hot outside even with the big fan (maybe because of the liquor) so prepare your own portable fan :) they have happy hour by 7pm. We got bubbly at $10 each. White bait and burrata was pretty good but the bacon sides and pizza was alright - a little too crispy/hard for our liking and on the sweet side. Can skip the wasabi fries though.
View on GoogleCelebrated my birthday here! Amazing vibes! Food was great especially the Harissa Pasta! Unique flavours! Not forgetting the pizza. That cheddar cheese bottom gives it slight crunch and flavour to the pizza overall! Definitely worth trying g and coming back for other dishes! Thank you!
View on GoogleSuperb inventive/hybridized takes on pizzas. I’d steer clear away from standards like Magheritas for their unique spins (I loved their tropic thunder pizza). I liked their Caesar salads too. I’ve enjoyed Artichoke since their Levantine food days — they bring something refreshingly original to the local food scene.
View on GoogleWas really hard to get a reservation. The food was delicious. Would highly recommend: 1) Green harissa prawn spaghetti 2) Hawaii Habibi - spiced minced lamb sausage spaghetti We also had the fries and Lebanese fried chicken. The 4 dishes were too much for 2 pax and the fries and chicken were okay only. We got assigned a bar seat which became a bit too warm after a while. So wldnt recommend it although it was nice to see the chefs cooking.
