I visited this neighbourhood a few years ago and am surprised the hawker centre and wet market survived the current urban redevelopment. A few hawker stores continued to offer good food at valued prices. Just loved the architectural design of the roof ☺️

You are here for the hand-made yong tau foo. You are here for the spring chicken. And you are here for the wanton noodles. I can go on, likewise for the chicken rice, pork porridge, red beans soup and bubor hitam. In expensive Singapore, this hawker center still retains its reasonable prices. More importantly, there is genuine love by the owners in preparing the food, something we unfortunately do not taste in many other food centers. Lets hope these stall owners keep on keeping on, or hand the reins to their next generation. Lets hope too the government will not increase their rents exponentially.

I had a nice meal at Tanglin Halt Market! 🍜 The food was quite satisfying, and I enjoyed the atmosphere. 😊 The service was also efficient and friendly. 👍 Definitely a good spot for a casual meal! ✨
