The braised pork was melt-in-the-mouth tender, and the cabbage was cooked just right. Paired with a fish cake and a bowl of porridge, the total came to $5.50. Overall, an enjoyable meal—though a little pricey for what it was.

When I first saw this stall, I was not interested to eat anything there. On my second visit, I saw some people in the queue, then I realized that the dishes looked depleted not because the stall is not ready! On the contrary, they must have sold quite a lot! I ordered what was left over at 7.40am in the morning. The braised pork was heavenly! I am already dreaming of my next session with it! All the items here with the porridge cost me $6, it’s considered pretty cheap for Teochew Porridge! Only old hawkers like them could have pulled this off! Heart warming and tummy filling breakfast! Good stuff!

An older friend accidentally paid $680 instead of $6.80 through paynow and the stall owner REFUSED to return the amount, even after she sought help from authorities (the police).

Their Sweet & Sour Pork (咕噜肉 / Gu Lou Yuk) is restaurant-quality—freshly fried, crispy, and coated with a delicious garlic-infused sweet and sour glaze that brings back the nostalgic taste of the past. Cooked with passion by two wonderful elderly owners, every dish is consistently delicious. Great food, reasonable prices, and excellent service. If you’re nearby, don’t miss this hidden gem.
