While we did not try the namesake Fish Head Steamboat, we did try some of the “zi char” dishes. All the dishes we tried were fantastic, starting from a white pepper lala, which is a nice change from the usual sambal style. The deep fried pork, although not the healthiest dish on the planet, is so worth the calories. Jumped in on the salted egg fish skin craze, with a delectable sauce and still crispy fish skin. The beans dish was smoothed in fried garlic bits, which is awesome. Food came fast, and wasn’t pricey. Filled the bellies of two quite adequately. A fantastic choice for a quick and affordable meal.
View on GoogleWonderful delicious zichar food! This side of the hawker is much quieter, so it feels like a real hidden gem. The photos don’t do the food justice at all. We had fish slice hot pot with an amazing soup and really fresh fish, and like the best pork bee hoon we’ve ever had (very unexpected), and some steam squid too which was new for us. Everything was great. Do support!
View on GoogleQuite a hidden gem - dad and I chanced upon this place when looking for somewhere to eat at night. They’re a seafood shop that also has zi char stuff, quite a wide range of dishes available. The stall is run by a friendly couple too! Had their salted fish fried rice ($6), oyster omelette ($10) and sambal stingray ($15). Oyster omelette was surprisingly good (dad and I were too hungry so we took a chunk before I could snap this pic 😂). Salted fish fried rice was alright, not tasty all-round but the burst of flavour when you bite into the salted fish bits is so shiok 🤤 Sambal stingray was good too! Tasty sambal and stingray is fresh and meaty. Will be back to try more dishes in future!
View on GoogleWent on a Monday and most stalls were closed. So my first time trying this stall. Ordered their signature white pepper lala, sambal kangkong and a sambal stingray. Nice food but a little pricey at a food centre
View on GoogleI enjoy food alot.I stayed here for 20 year just opposite the hawker. This is the best zi char and stall in the pasir panjang market if you like seafood. Highly recommended. Real locals who know, will visit this stall :) serving time is fast and also the Place is much cleaner. take note of operating hours. Do order drinks from the right side of stall. Nice people
