Had been going to this local quaint food stall for the past 13-14 years and food and service never fails. Its like my good to comfort food. They accept shopback and they still have my favourite Marmite chicken with egg rice. Highly recommended. Its comfortable for large gathering too without hurting the pockets. Menu was extensive too and easy to do take away. Car can just park at no charge there and walk over to eat. Open everyday too. Best!
View on GooglePretty popular zi char near its namesake, which is the infamous 99 hairpin bends of Buona Vista. Had a dinner with some of my friends here - by the time of our arrival there are several groups having their meals already. The eatery was an old school zi char place which is almost entirely semi-outdoor with strong fans everywhere. We had the flavorful free range chicken dish with ginseng, hor fun with more chicken, stir fried spicy beef, kailan with oyster sauce, and their signature dish hotplate tofu and veggies. All of them were very solid and the price was quite fair for the portions and quality. The dishes came rather quickly upon the order. All in all, it's a satisfying meal. Just an interesting random fact I found, it seems the place is also frequented by Japanese expats who crave local foods and often live around the West Coast and the stretch up to Haw Par Villa. So much so that they added the dishes name in not only Mandarin and English, but also Japanese.
View on GoogleToday, Thursday 8 Jan 2026, I visited 99 Buona Vista Kitchen. Great prices overall. I tried the fish slice soup with milk — very tasty, generous portion, and only $8.80 per bowl, which is really reasonable 😋 There are plenty of food choices here. The fried noodles were a bit too salty for my liking, but the sweet and sour pork and frog legs were just nice. Do come here for the food. Just note that the ambiance is like a typical coffee shop (no air-conditioning). If you’re looking for good food at affordable prices, this place is worth a visit.

Really special! Highly recommend this place for the food. Just note that the ambiance is like a typical coffee shop (no aircon) but if you're here for good food at affordable prices, it’s definitely worth it!
View on GooglePretty good Tze Char dish in South Buona Vista area. A lot of varieties on the menu that you can choose. What we have ordered were Salted Egg Pork Ribs, Hotplate Tofu with Seafood, Stir Fried Chicken with Black Bean Sauce, Fried Chicken Sliced with Salt and Pepper, Steamed Egg with Minced Meat, Sambal Sweet Potato Leaves. Service was efficient, food came quickly not long after we ordered. Price were reasonable, decent portion, presentation quite good, and the taste was nice too. Recommended.
