The "Trip to Rome" Review Rating: 5/5 I discovered Dario Pizza by accident back in 2021 during COVID, and I’ve been a loyal regular ever since. Even after moving from West to the North two years ago, I still make the cross-country trip every time I crave a real pizza. That’s the kind of flavor that stays with you! In my opinion, this is the best Roman-style pizza in Singapore. Specifically, the Estate Pizza + Rocket and the Bufalini Pizza—they take you directly to Rome with every bite. Chef Dario is a master of his craft. I always make sure to thank him with a "Delicioso!" 🤌🏻 before I leave. If you want world-class crust and genuine Italian hospitality, it’s worth the drive from anywhere on the island.
View on GoogleLocated at the end of "NUS supper row". It's a proper Italian joint. However, very small space and most tables were located outside shop space (al fresco style). Ordered a variety of dishes. Very nice. Love the thin crust pizza dough. Ravioli is nice. So is their chef special pasta. Minus 1 star for noisy street traffic if sat outside.
View on GoogleWent to Dario for some fine Romana style pizza. As differentiated from Napolitana, Romana pizza has a thinner crust. Though still airy, it has a crispier texture. Napolitana or Neapolitan pizza is airier, a bit thicker and is more chewy. We tried their S$19 lunch special that is on from Tuesday to Friday. It consists of Pizza or Pasta plus a drink of your choice. Food - 5*, we had orders of 1 Aglio Olio Pasta and Lime Juice, 1 Diavola (Spicy Salami) Pizza and Apple Juice and 1 Zola (Gorgonzola) Pizza and Lemon Tea. These were all S$19 combo. We then ordered a Home made Tiramisu (S$3 taken with combo vs S$5 ala carte). The pizza made by their pizzaiolo, Marco was of good quality. It had the delectable aroma and delicious taste of Italian ingredients. I've always believed in "less is more" when it comes to pizza. I want the star of the dish to really shine that's why I tremendously enjoyed both pizzas. The Aglio Olio was also a great pasta. I appreciated the delicate nature combined with the spicy kick and freshness of the shrimps. The Tiramisu was creamy but not at the same level as the main dishes. Service - 5*, was attended to by Dario himself. He was a fantastic host. Marco was friendly, accommodating and explained his pizza style. Sandhya, our server was gracious and efficient. Atmosphere - 4*, fine artisanal spot
View on GoogleNot only outstanding Pizza but also great Pasta, paired with a proper Italian beer. I’ll be back.
View on GoogleI am italian and this is probably one of the worst places I have ever tried. Disgusting is an understatement: pizza thin like air and truffle fries that doesn't taste like truffle at all. Bolognese that was $22 was less than a fistful of spaghetti (salty as if they put all indian ocean's water in it) and the mozzarella cheese on the margherita is the worst quality I've ever tried. PLEASE avoid if you are Italian: it is a disgrace to our culture when I asked if the chef is italian and they said YES?! Insane and out of this world. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!! If I can give zero, I would.
