Can’t go wrong with Yew Kee duck rice, it’s like the baseline for duck rice in Singapore. Shop does feel a bit greasy l but I think that’s part of the allure. Was feeling very hungry so I had both the duck rice and duck noodles. They were both good. Only thing is that the default duck portion wasn’t big, so I had to top up for more duck meat.

After trying Yew Kee @ Suntec, I was sure I wasn’t gonna try it again as the service (very grumpy auntie) and portions were horrible there. However, my love for kway chap urged me to give it a try at Star Vista, and I was VERY pleasantly surprised. The portions are definitely much more reasonable and the service was great. I think it was a Filipino young lady at the counter who was polite and took my order with smile. Great outlet!

Even though I had already eaten lunch (albeit a light one), I couldn’t resist stopping by for another meal when I passed this place. That’s how much I love their duck noodles. There’s no self-service kiosk at this outlet, so you place your order directly at the counter and wait for your food to be prepared, just like at a typical hawker or food court stall. Service was ok, maybe because I came after the lunch time was over. No rude aunties (as mentioned in the other reviews) or anything. Haha. Unsurprisingly, the duck noodles were delicious - rich, comforting, and absolutely worth the extra calories I gained that day. I’d do it all over again without hesitation.

Ordered kway chap, but all the pig skins hair are not cleaned…. Looks grossed. I left an empty bottle on the tray, the staff said I cannot leave the bottle there… but their coke plastic cup can be throw away. Aren’t all considered rubbish…. 😅

A place with 1 aunty throwing chairs and another aunty who simply was so rude to literally everyone and customers can’t even order by the name and she has to tell customers just tell me the number.. then came the guy who was chopping the items also just threw the plate of food. This outlet is a gangster outlet
