Came here for lunch and honestly, the food was really lacklustre. We ordered the Half Cut Chicken Wingettes (6 pcs), Wild Mushroom Aglio, Al Funghi, and Truffle Mac & Cheese. The biggest issue with the pasta was that it tasted like the cooking water was barely, if at all, seasoned. I ordered extra broccoli with the pasta and the broccoli tasted like it had simply been boiled in plain water as well. Completely bland. The linguini was also disappointing. A lot of the pasta was broken into small pieces and it was nowhere near al dente — noticeably soft and overcooked. The cherry tomatoes in the aglio olio were another letdown. They weren’t even slightly charred and still had a noticeable crunch. There was basically none of that sweetness you get when tomatoes are properly cooked and caramelised. The macaroni in the Truffle Mac & Cheese had the same problem — soft and rather tasteless. The chicken bacon is understandably used since this is a halal establishment, but unfortunately it doesn’t have the flavour or texture of pork bacon. The chicken wingettes were bland as well, and some of the pieces were ridiculously tiny. We ended up having to add a generous amount of Parmesan and chilli flakes just to give the dishes some flavour. At this point, I genuinely felt like I could cook a better version of these dishes at home for considerably less money. And unfortunately, the service was just as disappointing. The staff member bringing our food from the kitchen didn’t say a single word to us. She appeared completely lost trying to locate our table despite the restaurant being mostly vacant. Rather than checking with us or saying anything, she eventually just placed the bowl on the table and walked away. She also had a visibly unhappy/frowning expression throughout the interaction. To make matters worse, our table only had one tissue/serviette, and it was dirty. The cutlery provided was dirty as well. Food can be subjective, but bland pasta, poorly cooked ingredients, tiny and tasteless chicken pieces, dirty cutlery and poor service together made this a very disappointing lunch. Unfortunately, not a good experience and not somewhere I’d be rushing back to.
View on GoogleVery quiet on weekends, which makes it a great place to escape the crowd and enjoy a relaxing meal. There’s plenty of basement parking available, so finding a spot is easy too. My kids absolutely love the Beef Bolognese and Pepperoni Pizza with extra cheese! Ordering is convenient, you can either order directly at the counter or simply scan the QR code at your table. I also like the wide variety of food choices available. A nice bonus is that you can add extra sauce to the spaghetti at no additional cost. Overall, a great spot for families looking for good food in a calm and comfortable environment.
View on GoogleOrdered the cheesy crumble turkey bacon upsized pasta and cheesy garlic bread. The pasta sauce was so full of flavour just the way I love it. The bread was also topped with generous amounts of nacho cheese sauce and stringy cheese. Awesome food here!
View on GoogleQuality improved a lot over the years. I came back two days in a row over the weekend and the Tom yum pasta and prawn aglio were delicious!!
View on GoogleFriendly and helpful server. Food was ok, well priced and good portion. The mains are served before appetizers but it's a casual restaurant so it's a good to have. Clean and nice atmosphere, uncluttered and pleasant.
