This one-storey building used to be the PGP E-Canteen, a food & beverage outlet with multiple stalls that sold dishes from various cuisines. It’s no longer in operation and what remains is a sheltered space with amenities such as chairs, tables, and ceiling fans at one corner. The empty space can be used as a study area or a place to organise extra-curricular activities. This building is located between LightHouse and PGP Residence 1, and can be accessed from PGP Foyer using the public covered walkway that also connects those two hostels.

The Mala Hotpot is quite decent and reasonably priced compared to typical foodcourt. but the waiting time is long during lunch hour.

There were several stalls that were open during the summer vacation - Mixed Vegetable Rice, Mini Wok, Western, Chinese Noodles, and Mala. The Western stall had grilled chicken with tomato sauce pasta which was quite good. The pasta portion was quite generous. The chicken is quite tender, although slightly more seasoning would have made it even better. The Mini Wok stall also sold the chicken mushroom soup. The chicken is a whole drumstick and is tender. The soup itself is quite lightly seasoned, leaving the mushroom taste prominent.

It's clean, has many tables, and lots of food choice at a cheap price. There are only fans, but it is not uncomfortable. The food here is not my favourite in NUS, but you can get a filling meal. Would recommend over the aircon food court.
