Great Nanyang offers a wide variety of Singaporean and Malaysian-inspired dishes under one roof. Located at Geneo Mall, the café is bright, clean, and welcoming, making it a comfortable spot for a casual meal at any time of the day. The menu is extensive, covering everything from breakfast favourites and light snacks to proper lunch and dinner meals. With so many options available, choosing what to order can be a little overwhelming. That said, based on our experience so far, every dish we have tried has been satisfying and has not disappointed. There is also a good selection of beverages, although do note that canned drinks are not available. Instead, the focus is on traditional kopi and teh, served hot or cold, as well as house-made refreshers such as lemon tea and barley. Overall, it is a pleasant place for a casual meal with family or friends. The staff were friendly, responsive, and attentive throughout our visit. A nice addition to the dining options at Geneo Mall. Recommended.

Enjoyed a satisfying lunch at 大南洋 Cafe at Geneo. The café has a nice ambience with nostalgic old-school décor and interesting seating areas, creating a cosy and relaxing dining atmosphere. The local delights were tasty and comforting. Tried Dry Mee Siam with Chicken Curry and Chicken Hor Fun, both flavourful and delicious. The lunch set also included 1 drink and 1 side dish, and we chose the Prawn Paste Fried Chicken Wings which were crispy, fresh, and very tasty. A great spot for local food lovers. ​Pros: Excellent food and drink flavors, spacious and comfortable dining area, and highly dog-friendly. ​Cons: Service timing could be improved, as drinks arrived after the food. Additionally, the Assam Laksa differed from the menu description by being entirely vegetarian (no meat). Lastly, the Curry Chee Cheong Fun seems to be consistently sold out, which is disappointing for returning customers. ​Suggestion: It would be highly beneficial if floor staff or management proactively checked in on tables during service. Catching these small issues early would allow the team to remedy them on the spot and significantly improve the overall guest experience before they leave. Good luck.

Great Nanyang at Geneo serves up very good coffee, tea and a fantastic chicken chop for sure. We ordered the Four Heavenly Kings and loved it so much that we repeated the order twice! We also tried a few new items that turned out absolutely fabulous. Will definitely be back!

One of those places that gets the fundamentals right. The service staff were warm, welcoming and attentive. The menu is impressively extensive, with plenty of local favourites. Both the food and drinks were comfortably above average. Satisfying without trying to be overly fancy. What really stood out was the relaxed atmosphere, big plus being dog-friendly.
