Came for an early lunch and we did not had to wait. The restaurant filled up pretty soon after. The dishes were pretty consistent with all the other Din Tai Fung outlets. We started with their a few of their appetisers such as the century egg, slice duck in crispy pastry and deep fried shrimp and pork wantons. There were nothing much to shout about. The we tried their Xiao long Bao; we had the pork version which was good and I loved the texture of the skin but there were less soup in each dumpling. We also had the crab and pork XLB and this really had a strong crab taste. Lastly we had their fried rice and dry noodle and pork chop. Can’t come here and not have fried rice. The dishes were ok. Not amazing.
View on GoogleThis is my 4th visit to this outlet and I find it rather strange with the inconsistency of food vs other outlets. The braised beef soup was tastelsss and beef was so tough and chunky. The fried rice with egg was blend and we literally had to keep pouring soya sauce. The 小龙包filling had been the same since day one I visited this outlet, there’s always like tendon within the meat filling. I don’t get this from other outlets which I find it weird. Other than the 小笼包and the braised beef soup, all else was so so. Will not return for sure since the food had been the same since this is my 4th visit and it’s still the same
View on GoogleVisited the Din Tai Fung at Geneo today ( first time visit this outlet) and had a bit of a mixed experience. While we are regulars of Din Tai Fung at other outlets, a few of the signatures didn't quite hit the mark this time. • Xiao Long Bao (小笼包): A bit disappointing today. The broth lacked that signature xian tian (umami sweetness) we usually expect; it tasted a little plain. • Pork Chop Fried Rice (猪扒蛋炒饭): The pork chop, while tender, felt quite dry on the inside. The rice texture was also a bit too soft and didn't have that firm, distinct grain structure that makes their fried rice so famous. • Other Dishes: We also had the Garlic Pork (蒜泥白肉) and Rice Cakes (年糕), which were enjoyable. The service remains top-notch. When paying, the cashier was proactive and asked how our meal was. When we shared our feedback about the Xiao Long Bao, he kindly suggested we should have raised it on the spot so they could remake it. While we appreciated the gesture, we felt that since it was likely a batch seasoning issue, a remake might have tasted the same—so we didn't want to trouble the staff. Overall: The staff here are wonderful and the environment is great, but the food consistency wasn't up to the usual DTF gold standard today. Hope it’s just a one-off! P/S: Free parking on Sunday!
View on GoogleThis is my favorite steamed chicken soup at Din Tai Fung. The soup is rich in taste and I drank all of it without leaving a single drop. It goes perfectly with the la mian.
View on GoogleCrab pork buns were pretty juicy and savory, shrimp shumais were okay and vegetable pork dumplings were good. While after the first round of these 3 dim sim served, we have to be waiting here for almost 30 minutes for the other twos served, with reminding the waitress twice. Not professional enough with the service at this price while the food are above average.
