Came by for my father’s birthday after I had it at Shaw and thought it was a decent meal. 🍜 Apparently I had the shoyu variant last time and enjoyed it, but this tonkotsu variant just wasn’t as good unfortunately. 🥗 Side dishes were alright, none of them really stood out though the tofu was quite bad - a little too much flour on the outside. ⏰ it gets really crowded the moment it opens, definitely come by early to avoid the queue!
View on GoogleFood was above average but not the best at this price point. To be fair, ramen and meats were cooked to a perfect texture and flavour. It is definitely a decent bowl in SG and would return but might not queue for it. Went on a public holiday at opening and didn’t have to wait but the place filled up quickly. Didn’t get iced water :( and also the place smelt like wet rag….. place was clean though, just a weird smell.
View on GoogleWent once to the Paragon outlet and found it good. But when i went back, the staff there were not so nice (there was no queue and they let customers who came after us go first). So decided to give this outlet a try... When we first approached, the staff at the counter told us to sit "wherever". Said staff also didn't give us water. Every other table had it. When we requested for water, she unhappily dumped the glasses so hard on the table that there was a "thunk" sound. The cups of water didn't smell too good.. but it's not chargeable so can't complain there. Foodwise, noodles were a bit too al dente for my preference. But my partner and i both agreed that the soup was too salty. At 9:07pm, the same staff (name starts with N) asked my partner to go to the front to make payment when he was still eating. This whole dining experience was not a good one.
View on GoogleOrdered sardine Tsukemen (silent t) for $19.01. Not quite sure the correct way to eat but my style not too overwhelming. Will try to just dip it into the sauce next time. But I am very curious what do I do with the pork if I just use it to dip the noodle. Pros Sauce. Very flavorful but not overwhelming. You can add broth to lighten it. Pork. Peppery goodness that was charred nicely. Very tender as well. Noodle. Springy and mostly cooked just right for dipping. Some feel just slightly under but feel fine especially after dipping. Egg was nicely done. Good amount of runniness. Not sure if it is a con but since the sauce was pretty rich u probably can't taste the natural taste of the other food after dipping.
View on GoogleAlways love the ramen here. I find its closest to what you have in japan especially when you try the tonkotsu ramen. So rich, flavourful and slurp friendly!
