La Nonna
Also known as 'The Grandmother' in Italian, serves good old Italian country-inspired cuisine, much like what Grandma would usually cook, in an unpretentious and inviting Trattoria atmosphere.

We visited La Nonna at Holland Village. The restaurant has a wonderfully warm and cosy environment, making it a fantastic setting for a relaxing group dinner. The Service: Service was absolutely top-notch throughout the evening. The staff were attentive, friendly, and went out of their way to ensure our group was well taken care of. The Food: We ordered the signature La Nonna pizza, which featured a beautifully blistered, wood-fired crust that was perfectly crispy yet chewy. The pasta dishes, including the Linguine al Granchio and the Ravioli Della Nonna, were savoury, well-portioned, and cooked perfectly al dente. The Disappointment: The only real letdown of the night was the fried Calamari. Although it looked beautifully golden on the plate, it was served warm rather than piping hot. The outer batter layer completely lacked crispiness, and the calamari itself was soft and 'elastic' instead of having a firm, chewy bite. Desserts: Thankfully, the meal ended on a high note. Both the Tiramisu and the Warm Lava Cake were excellent, traditional, and deeply satisfying. Overall, it's a solid 4-star neighbourhood spot. While the calamari fell short, the excellent hospitality, cosy atmosphere, and great mains make it a place I'd happily return to.
View on GoogleAlways enjoy having a good Italian lunch at this place 👌 The food and service have consistently been top-notch every time I visit. The dishes are well executed, comforting, and full of flavour, while the staff are always warm, attentive, and welcoming. It’s one of those places that feels reliable no matter what you order, honestly you can never go wrong dining here!
View on GoogleSo why not 5 stars? So the manager, yes can be friendly but over friendly and joking, and can some quite guai lan when taking my order. So I changed my order from the set lunch to the 1 for 1 promo, he acknowledged and joked that my set lunch starter is coming. It’s a playful comment but I did not appreciate it. La Nonna feel like an Italian place for more matured dining experience, and not some teenage cafe. The vibe and attitude needs to cater to the setting. This place gets 5 stars for its food, definitely tasty and value for money. Service, can be bad if u are seated outside without reservations. It’s very hot, fan is not enough. Person who tops up ur water needs to pay more attention to the people sitting outside in the hot temperature, not serving water to people inside aircon room only. Atmosphere is a darn 3 stars because it was a mess for me. It feels like there is lack of attention outside, hard to find a waiter and have to stand up to find one, if not for the 1 for 1 deal, I might not come back again.
View on GoogleThe decorations of the restaurant is cosy and atmosphere is great. The server is helpful and fast although seems a bit blur at times. The plating of the dishes are nice and the MERLUZZO cod fish I order is nicely cooked with crispy skin. Not sure if it's intentionally to provide healthier choice, the asparagus taste like it's blanched, and the overall dish is a bit blend, except for the sauce on the side. Kid feedback that the Macaroni & Cheese Delle Nonna is too cheese for her liking. There's kids done for free promotion on Sunday if June. Saw that other reviews mentioned about the pizza, may try their pizza again if I come back again.
View on GoogleLa Nonna remains a solid, dependable choice for authentic Italian in the heart of Holland Village. The rustic, unpretentious atmosphere makes it feel like a cozy trattoria in Tuscany—perfect for a relaxed dinner after work. The Highlights • The Signature La Nonna Pizza: Truffle lovers, this is a must. The black truffle paste combined with the runny egg in the center is pure comfort. Plus we love the Italian music played there.
