Didn’t even want to leave any star but system doesn’t allow me to proceed without giving a star. The lady was super rude when I told her the order was wrong (should be egg fried rice instead of XO fried rice) she threw the balance change at me! Can the management kindly look into such customer service behaviour?

Fried rice may be pricier than those in the typical zi char stall but is reasonable for the good quality food. Rice contained generous of egg and the pork chop was thick and nicely done. Some may find it bland but I like that it is but too salty (eat with the chilli to spice it up). However, the fried rice really lacked wok hei. Also, cashless payment should be available in this day and age.

located in holland village food center, this place was always in food blogger recommendation. I was very tempted bc of the fried rice style and the pork chop was so different from usual katsu image. so my friend told me this outlet was near her workplace and we agreed for dinner there. it's a self-service outlet, ordering thru cashier and pay, then they'll have queue number on the receipt and flash it out when yours ready. I ordered the egg fried rice, with pork cutlet ($6.90). it tasted slightly oily for fried rice, but it's very good, the rice was hot and it was seasoned very well. aside from that, they also have big chunk of pork cutlet on top of the fried rice, never i thought i will ever taste pork cutled cooked this way. it was very interesting to know that it has no flour skin. and it was still cooked nicely. scoring time; Food 4/5 Taste 4/5 Price 3/5 Service 3/5 Ambience 3/5 Location 3/5 Overall score of 3.3 out of 5 stars, the only issue was the location. Would i come back? YES! Absolutely! Would i recommend this place? YES! yummy! The price was reasonable and the portion is so big!

I have been to King Fried Rice several times, to taste the various flavoured fried rice like egg / XO / mala / tom yam etc. I liked the mala and tom yam, but the XO and plain egg tasted similar to me, although I bought both plates at the same time to taste them side by side. There are different cooks everytime, so sometimes I get an even smaller portion of meat / rice than the photo, it depends on luck. The rice is always extremely oily, but the meat is of a decent size (palm sized, smaller than chicken chop at Western food stalls) The portion is always so small (see photo to see how small the plate and food portion is compared to the tray), that I usually have to order a second plate of fried rice. One time, there was a lucky draw for spending more than $10, but I was not allowed to combine the 2 receipts of about $9+ each as I bought 2 plates 15min apart instead of at the same time. King Fried Rice is better than any zi char stall in Singapore I've tasted, but the fried rice in Malaysia is mouthwatering, especially at Dolly Dim Sum - non-greasy, full of ingredients, decent sized portion, where 1 plate is more than enough!

A very good fried rice, even better than the original one at Din Tai Fung. The rice is flavourful, and the meat or fish is generous. There is always a long queue, so it will take some time to get served, but it is definitely worth it!
