Good ramen place to dine at One Jolland Village. Join member now promo get free ice green tea. The fried rice is good and can pick to eat with chopsticks. There few soup bases to choose of your liking. You can select ramen cook soft, medium or hard and the char siew with 2 slices with or without egg or full 4 slices with egg. Side dishes Goyzai is ok but the fried chicken meat is tender with 4 pieces in chilli oil is real hot, Give it a try.
View on GoogleStopped by Ippudo since it was nearby and I was in the mood for some ramen. There was no queue and plenty of seats available, which was nice. Orders are placed through a QR code on the table. I tried the gyoza, cheese tempura and ramen. You can choose your preferred noodle hardness for the ramen, which is a good touch. The ramen was tasty the broth was rich and flavorful. The gyoza, however, was quite small for the price and didn’t feel worth it. The cheese tempura was an odd mix, it’s a fish cake with cheese inside and the combination didn’t really work for me. Overall, the food was decent but considering the portion and price, it didn’t feel quite worth the money.
View on GoogleThe ramen is good, but the fried rice is salty. Hot green tea is $4++? Prices are on the high side—guess we’re paying for their rent and decor… haha.
View on GoogleCame earlier at 11.20am so restaurant was fairly empty. We ordered the lunch sets and each of us chose different sides so we could share. The ramen lunch set at $18.50 was nice, gave us a choice of the doness of the noodle. Medium was considered al dente. For me, found the ramen size more for kiddo portion but the taste and presentation was good. Considering I am allergic to MSG, I didn't feel thirsty as I normally do after a ramen soup intake. The chicken karrage was a decent size but it was overly seasoned in my opinion. Liked the salad. Set came with a drink and we chose hot green tea. Was surprised that they gave us a teapot each. Overall impressed with the young waitress and the staff on board. Friendly and attentive. Made us feel welcome even though we did not want to order via the QR code.
View on GoogleI visited Ippudo at One Holland Village recently and ordered the Akamaru Shinaji, which used to be my go-to whenever I craved a rich, flavourful bowl of ramen. The restaurant still has a pleasant, modern ambience and the service was efficient and polite, which I appreciate. The noodles were cooked to a good texture, springy and satisfying, and the chashu was tender enough. However, I have to admit that the broth didn’t quite wow me the way it used to. I remember it being deeply umami, creamy and layered with complexity. This time, it tasted more “normal” still decent, but lacking that memorable richness and punch that made me specifically crave it. It’s not that the ramen was bad; it just didn’t stand out the way I recall. Perhaps my expectations were shaped by past experiences, or maybe my palate has changed over time. Either way, while it was a satisfying meal, it didn’t leave me with that same excitement. Ippudo remains a reliable ramen spot, but I hope the Akamaru Shinaji regains that bold depth that once made it special.
