Located beside Twirl Pasta, the economic rice stall has the best authentic kwey chap. Huge portions for only $5, perfectly-cooked kuey (rice noodles), succulent and juicy braised meats served with a sweetish-tangy chilli sauce. A must try if you like kuey chap and miss the old-school nostalgic flavours. ❤️
View on Googlethere is a relatively wide variety of food here and the prices are more palatable than the restaurants in the area. that is not to say that the restaurants in the area are too expensive though, because they are generally reasonable all things considered. but sometimes despite being in a more up-town location like holland village, you might be here for work (which i am often) and want a quick meal you don't have to think twice about. if that is the position you are in right now, looking for something affordable, accessible, and clean, this is the place to be. and a bit of a small rant: the thing about food centres in singapore is that generally you can expect decent food, but there are certain things that we have come to accept as norms despite not being the most pleasant, such as the toilets being unclean and sometimes even broken. i am so happy to add here that the toilets here are clean (enough), which definitely adds a point in my books!
View on GoogleOrdered beef ginger scallion rice from Zi Char Stall and laksa and an otah. Quantity for both dishes was okay. Quite salty though. Bowl of Laksa from Katong Laksa stall has good amount of fishcake, tau pok, added to it. Prawn is quite big as well. Beef ginger scallion rice costs $6. Laksa costs $6.80. Had wanted to order western food but was told preparation time will be long and expected to wait 45 min. There are different tiers of the food center which we enjoy. Not too hot even though weather is humid.
View on GoogleWe love to come here for lunch every Sunday. Food is good, reasonably priced. A bit hard to get a seat. The Japanese food stall is worth a queue. Couple serving are very genuine, cheerful and friendly. The Saba sets, beef sets are good.
