I visited on a Sat night. The occupancy at 7pm is almost full. Tbh, I feel that this place suits patrons who wants to chill and have some Mex food; won't go into another mex restaurant that is nearby. Coming back to the venue, it is easily accessible from the MRT exit and visible with gaudy lights. The prices are not considered budget in my books esp with service charge and GST. But it is a good experience if you come on an occasional basis. The nature of the restaurant limits space and ventilated with ceiling fans; no air-conditioning. Food wise, they are nice and feel it is crafted to suit local taste to some degree. It would be nice if there is a little more dimensions to some of the food. I'm a little disappointed that the chimichunga was not as crunchy as I expected since it was fried. Popcon chicken had a nice spicy kick to it. Please do not take them as critics, rather, a difference in taste buds. I recommend trying at least once; come with friends and chill out a little, order some loaded nachos Seems to be pet friendly as there was a patron who brought in a dog and was shown a seat.
View on GoogleGreat service. Thank you Tina! We Loved it. My dog felt just as welcomed and I love it! Tacos for dogs were great she clearly loved them too! Drinks were good too, we got one beer on tap and one whisky sour
View on GoogleWeekday lunch here was pleasantly calm, which made it easy to relax and catch up without the usual rush. Chimichanga Holland Village has a nice, low-key feel that works well for a team lunch or a casual midday meal. It was a comfortable spot overall, and I’d consider coming back when I want something a little quieter.
View on GoogleVisited the Holland Village outlet and found it decent, though I enjoyed the Vivo branch more. The food was okay, but the non-air-conditioned setting made it feel rather warm, which may have affected the overall experience. One plus point is that it’s pet-friendly, which is a nice touch for pet owners — and even better, they offer a discount if you bring your pet, which is a fun and thoughtful perk. Parking is available at One Holland Village or nearby HDB lots, so access is fairly convenient. Overall: Food was alright, though I preferred the VivoCity outlet. That said, the pet-friendly concept and pet discount give this branch its own charm. Worth considering, especially if you’re dining out with your furry companion.
View on GoogleRead all the 1* and 2* reviews no matter how old they are. A lot of truth there. How? How is it possible for this place to get so many great reviews? On a Sunday evening at 7.30, when ALL the restaurants in the area are busy, some with queues, this place was virtually empty. A huge red flag which we stupidly ignored because we trusted the reviews. The place had around 6 people when we arrived and around 8 when we left. The staff (2 men) seemed more keen on chatting than serving. The one who served us was nice and helpful whenever we managed to get his attention but it was not easy to get anyone's attention. The food was bad: quesadilla was very, very oily. I've had quesadilla countless times and have never seen it so greasy. See picture below. Burrito was mediocre and the chef forgot the beans. Margarita tasted like lime juice with a few drops of tequila. Could barely taste the "top shelf" alcohol. And look how sloppy the barman was with the salt. It is exactly as when the drink came. A five-year-old could do better! I am utterly disappointed and baffled at reviews which got us there. Never again. And after this experience, i will never trust 5* Google reviews again. If it's quiet when you go, walk away. There's a very good reason for the empty tables.
