Great new addition to Holland V. Really enjoyed the detailed and warm lighting and decor, with ample seating for different group sizes. The menu is targeted and straightforward coffee and tea classics along with unique menu offerings including tea made from the coffee cherry, baked goods, matcha, hojicha, and even affagato. For coffee lovers who like freshly roasted beans, you'll be happy to hear they roast their own beans in house. They have also made space in the back for private study rooms if you need. Can't wait to try all their offerings!
View on GoogleCame here because saw some bloggers’ photos of the matcha drinks, and they looked really legit and appealing. Unfortunately, what I received looked quite different. The photo I posted was taken immediately after the drink was served — it wasn’t a photo after it had been sitting around. Perhaps the preparation was different, but seemed that the matcha had been whisked with far too much water. It was diluted and watery. It honestly tasted like green water rather than matcha latte even after stirring it. I’ve been to many places for matcha and I don’t mind paying more when the quality is good. But $11 for this? (Iced w Oat milk) I paid extra to opt for the ceremonial-grade matcha powder, so I had pretty high expectations and expected a much richer, more concentrated matcha flavour. The difference between the bloggers’ photo and what I received was quite surprising. Definitely not worth it. The cafe atmosphere was okay and the space is actually quite big, but seating is limited, so had to wait for a seat despite the overall size of the cafe. Staff weren’t the friendliest, but it’s fine, cafe service is pretty much like this nowadays, so it doesn’t bother me. More than anything, I’m just sad to have a bad matcha🥲Please work on the matcha-making skills so it won’t ruin the next matcha lover’s day.
View on GoogleLove the zen vibe of the cafe. Came in without expecting much but ended up staying longer than planned. Coffee was solid, staff were polite, and the whole place felt welcoming. Would visit again.
View on GoogleReally enjoyed my visit to Cafe Idaki. The space is cozy and comfortable, and the coffee was surprisingly good. Staff were friendly without being overly attentive, which I appreciated. Would definitely come back for a quiet afternoon coffee.
View on GoogleServing a range of coffee and matcha tea and croissant like bakes. I decided to give hojicha a try. Slight green tea taste, not too bitter and the ice was a saviour for a hot afternoon.
