Small to medium portion Korean food with good price. The rice is tasty and flavourful, came with various vegetables and classic sauce, although the portion is kinda small. We also ordered a kimbap, which is Ok cause there are many ingredients in there but the taste is quite plain. Also there are active old serving staffs that come near your table to remove your tray and plates. Overall a nice dining experience.
View on GoogleDo be aware if you are not part of NUS, this place charges you an extra S$1.00 as a member of the public eating here. I can't see a difference in the food and portion served by paying this surcharge. My last visit to this place.
View on GoogleVisited once in a while over the past few years. Nice, helpful staff and good pricing. Food quality for the pricing is really good too. Good vibes and happy meals :) we will be hopping by again especially since kids are about uni age soon
View on GoogleAtmosphere was quite bad when I visited! No aircon!!! Hot as hell. Food prices are cheap for students very affordable. Overall service is self service. Just stand there and collect your food like canteen style. Good thing is the uncle will come n clear your tray and plates. Food taste is decent not so salty but mildly oily
View on GoogleLocated in NUS, they are within the University Town with eateries near each other. You can take the yellow Circle line and alight at Kent Ridge station to take a long walk into University Town. They are more accessible from Clementi Town where you can travel from the dormitories to University Town. Hwang's serve affordable Korean cuisines in a Korean style for students and everyone else. They have plenty of seats and booths for bigger groups. Food are served piping hot and they are quite efficient. A full meal will cost less than SGD10. Definitely patronize them to keep them in business and you won't be disappointed.
