I found out this is the infamous stall with rude staffs and boss who scold customers! Luckily I get to eat in peace.🤣🤣🤣 The food is not bad but if u like savoury taste, then this fish noods is not for u. The XO taste in the soup is weak but I’m happy that the fish head comes with quite a lot of meat. It’s really very hard to find good fish head noods so I will be back for more!
View on GoogleUnbelievably BLAND fish soup beehoon! Soup was like water. No broth taste at all. Not even salty. Noodles were not cooked adequately or even rinsed before cooking so they had the preservative taste. Fish pieces were totally tasteless too! Even the fried chunks (we ordered a mix of sliced fish and fried fish). 3 of us tasted the soup when it arrived, we all had same reaction. We asked the waitress to taste it. She hurriedly took it back. She said maybe they forgot to add salt. (Still no excuse for the water pretending to be fish broth) I dunno what they did. She came back with it. It was only slightly salty, and they must have added a bit of XO cos we could smell it. But the fish remained absolutely tasteless. No slices of ginger to be seen either. Shocking how lousy it is! Be warned.
View on GoogleI ordered a bowl of Fish Meat Soup Bee Hoon and it was served within 5mins. I find the soup just thick and tasty enough without being too overboard. Surprised to see fried fish, but glad to see the fish meat didn’t contain any small fish bones. Hearty portions of meat and vegetables!
View on GoogleSambal kangkong and sliced fish soup, generous portions but on the mild side I ordered sambal kangkong and a bowl of sliced fish soup with thick bee hoon. Portions were generous and service was quick. Sambal kangkong The sauce clung to the vegetables rather than pooling, the stems kept a tender-crisp bite and the leaves were nicely wilted. Heat was gentle and the belacan aroma felt restrained. It tasted clean but a little safe. A touch more belacan and smokiness from the wok would have delivered the punchy sweet-savory profile that makes sambal kangkong stand out. Sliced fish soup (thick bee hoon) The broth looked naturally milky from emulsified fish bones, not added milk, with chunks of ginger and greens. There were plenty of fish slices, which were firm and tender with no off taste. The stock was very light and subtle, pleasant but a bit plain. Compared to some other bowls, this lacked contrast in texture, flavour and aroma. Fried shallots, tomato wedges, seaweed or tofu would lift it. Otherwise, it got a bit boring after a few bites. Bottom line Good value for quantity and a straightforward, clean meal.
View on GoogleJust tried their XO bee hoon today. The portions of fish are generous, but I would prefer for the XO taste to be stronger
