⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ One of the best dining experiences I’ve had in Singapore. The moment you step into Xiao Ya Tou, you’re immersed in a vibrant atmosphere that perfectly captures the energy and character of Duxton Hill. The restaurant is known for its playful take on modern Asian cuisine, and it absolutely delivers. But the real star of the evening was the Truffle Roast Duck. I’ve enjoyed duck in cities all over the world, from Beijing to Paris, and I can honestly say this was the best truffle duck I have ever tasted. The duck was beautifully roasted with crisp skin, succulent meat, and a rich truffle aroma that elevated every bite. It was indulgent, perfectly balanced, and utterly unforgettable. The cocktails were excellent, the service was warm and attentive, and the entire experience felt special from start to finish. If you’re visiting Singapore and appreciate creative Asian cuisine, make sure you book a table here. And whatever you do, don’t leave without ordering the truffle duck. It is, quite simply, the best on the planet. 🦆🍄✨
View on GoogleHad a fantastic time dining at Xiao Ya Tou! The atmosphere was quirky, bold, and vintage‑Asian themed, enhanced by old retro Asian and Western music that set the mood perfectly. The Brussels Sprouts were charred to perfection, tantalising for the taste buds, while the Crispy Tofu was light, crunchy, and addictive. The Angus Beef Satay was tender, smoky, and full of flavour. The Lobster Kueh Pai Tee added a fun twist with crisp shells, fresh fillings, and a luxurious touch of tobiko and ikura. Every dish was bursting with flavour and thoughtfully prepared. The only disappointment was that their signature Truffle Roast Duck wasn’t available during our weekday lunch — something I’ll definitely return to try next time!
View on GoogleWe had a wonderful dinner here. It was warm and cozy and the staff were a delight. Recommendations were on point. Food was delivered fast and hot. The highlight for me was the absolutely the Lobster Pie Tee and calamari. But the rest of the dishes were a delight as well. Desserts were yummy with a nice twist. Kuih Salat ice cream was yums. Kudos to the staff here.
View on GoogleGood place good food good vibes. XYT Hokkien mee is a must try. The portion is big for one person. Truffle duck fried rice is good but hints of truffle is too light. Could add a little more truffle to spice up the taste. Corn ribs equally shiok. Might be the only shop I saw using Tannoy reference monitor speakers. Solid sound reproduction. Was actually attracted to the sound before I ordered food. The boss might be a fan of British speakers (just guessing). Am gamed to try out other dishes soon.
View on GoogleHad a great dining experience here! (Price:$200+) The food was overall really good — the crab fried rice was a standout, with generous chunks of crab (honestly felt like more crab than rice). The Hokkien mee was also delicious, and the seafood tasted very fresh. The lamb rack could be improved slightly as it was a bit jelat after a while, but still decent. Service was friendly and attentive, and the ambience made the whole experience even better.
