No flavour, and the noodles' chilli isn't good either. This is a bland and tasteless bowl of Wanton noodle. The chilli/Sambal is tasless. The noodles is clumpy. The 5 wanton is more skin than meat for the filling. The Char siew taste ok, but nothing spectacular. It’s 5 dollars for a bowl of it. No idea how it even got the top 10 Wanton noodle rating. Manage your expectations accordingly.
View on GoogleGenerous serving of char siew and kai lan. The black sauce dressing for non-spicy noodle was just nice. And yes, the noodles were done just right, fine and with a slight crunch (Q) The best surprise was that there were 5 small wanton in the accompanying bowl of soup.
View on GoogleThis was an unusual Friday, with F1 and Children's Day, many stalls were closed. I decided to give this stall a try as it had a short line and decent reviews. I went with the wanton mee, swapping the usual egg noodles for Hor Fun, and added mushroom, for a total of $6.50. It was surprisingly good! The Hor Fun was silky smooth and swimming in a tasty sauce. The chilli could have been spicier though. And the mushroom, you must add that! It was incredibly tender. The char siew was lightly charred; not the best, but decent quality for the price. The wontons were nothing to rave about, but the broth was thick and comforting. Overall, this stall is worth checking out if you have no idea what to eat.
View on GoogleI saw people queuing at this stall. My gut feeling is that the generous serving—or the low price—has drawn the line. Nevertheless, I joined the queue and ordered the Wanton Noodles. The owner was quite generous, giving me a lot of noodles, char siew, and five pieces of wanton. In conclusion, the char siew is nice, the noodles are chewy, and the wanton is just right—not soggy. It’s value for money and delicious. I’ll eat again if I’m around this area.
View on GoogleVery tasty wan ton noodles at Amoy Street level 2. This is one of the more popular noodle stalls and do expect a queue. Just don’t join the wrong queue because there are quite a few queues there as it is located beside some popular stalls! Overall I like the noodles and wan ton. Noodles are springy and the wan ton is delicious. Add in some chilli sauce and it taste heavenly.
