Portion size was so generous and service was good, they explained to us how to pair the meat and condiments and gave us bowls for sharing and multiple refills. Two of the soups were sold out at lunch time around 1+pm and we’ll definitely be back to try! We had the clear and thick broth and had our own personal favourites. The soup was flavourful and could be spiced up with shrimp, sea salt and other small side dishes such as kimchi! What really surprised us was how good the perilla oil noodles were! Would definitely order again. All in all highly recommend, a reservation would be best, if not you can get a queue ticket.
View on GoogleWe had such a wonderful experience at Um Yong Baek thanks to Lee! He was incredibly pleasant, warm, and good-natured throughout our meal while grilling the meat for us. What really stood out was how he introduced us to so many different combinations of the BBQ pork. Every combination tasted amazing and made the whole dining experience feel so fun and memorable. His service truly elevated our dinner. We were also lucky that we only had to wait 15 mins on a Sunday evening and look forward to coming back!
View on GoogleHaving people cook for you is always good for a meal. While that is expected for KBBQ, we weren't expecting plating service 🤣 It was nice being introduced to a few ways to taste and pair the meats up with, which were generally well cooked. Liked the collar and shoulder most. Ordered the platter for 3, one sundubu jiggae side, and rice. Just about right for 3 average eaters! I forgot the name of this sardine dish/ dip but that was the best! Bookings required.
View on GoogleWe ordered a medium pork platter. Meats (Spanish pork) were of good quality. Thida who served us was excellent, taking time to explain the different cuts of meats to us. Her barbecue skills were excellent too. Kudos to her. If you reach early enough, Street parking is available just outside the restaurant.
View on GoogleThis was our second visit, and the service remains exceptional! A special shout-out to Luke, he was incredibly helpful and guided us on how to best pair and mix the dishes for the ultimate flavor combination. The meat here is absolutely fantastic and a must-try. Highly recommend! Make sure to reserve a table beforehand! this place fills up fast!
