Tanjong Pagar Plaza Market & Food Centre Our friends recommended this food centre because it was within walking distance of the hotel where we were staying. We came here for breakfast and found a good variety of local food. Some of the popular stalls had long queues. We enjoyed our breakfast and had a good start to the day. If you're staying nearby, this is a convenient place to experience a local hawker centre.

The Food court here is kept quite clean , pretty airy and located just above the market. Can access by lift or staircase. I like the chicken noodle fried that comes with soup. The small portion is SGD4, add one egg is SGD4.7 Hubby took the fried prawn Mee at SGD5, which is salty for me. Drinks although long Q at the Ah Teik, but taste is so so. Sweet bun is not bad with Kaya n condensed milk

One of the hawker centers located in the CBD. I visited on a weekend, and quite a few stalls were closed, probably because most of their regular customers are office workers. It may be better to come on a weekday when more food options are available.

Tanjong Pagar Plaza Market & Food Centre feels like a convenient stop if you want a casual meal in a straightforward setting. I liked that the place is fairly airy and easy to get to, whether by lift or stairs, and being right above the market gives it a nice local feel. The chicken noodle fried with soup was a solid choice, and the pricing was easy to understand.

this market is sited in the city center and there's old estate still hanging around where you can experience local culture and food. Here I ordered soy sauce chicken noodle at upper cross st soy sauce chicken noodle, the chicken is tender, egg noodle is springy and lastly the chilli sauce is superb. Worth my recommendation compared to infamous one at Smith street😚 Next is ah teck coffee stall, the bosses are friendly and they brewed nice tea o and kopi o. There are other nice food to explore here too.... drop by when you are nearby.
