Pictures don’t lie guys! There to celebrate my daughter’s birthday, so aside the awesome fanfare, chef Harada San also made a “sushi cake”, which is greatly appreciated! Protein is fresh and marinated where it matters. And every bite is like a heaven sent. Will be back soon. Be warned, you need about a month plus to make any reservations! Gem indeed!
View on GoogleWent for dinner and they only have omakase menu. It was awesome. I picked the $130 umi omakase. The service was amazing. Since I was alone, the only people to chat with are the chef and waitress so they took their time to explain the dishes to me, how to eat them and pair them with the sauce, and they even teach me about their ingredients, where it comes from, how they cooked it and how they maintain their quality. Jeffrey was the sushi chef serving me and he was very patient. The supporting staff aka waitress were also very quick to react, to refill my drinks and to clean my table and clear my plate. As I was sitting at the counter, The chef even noted what I preferred and served me slowly as I wanted to enjoy my food with pauses in between. Overall, I loved the food, the people there, the ambience, the service and will definitely be back. The variety is substantial and the quality is awesome too.
View on GoogleUnderwhelming. We’ve been to Mitsuya since its early days and enjoyed their omakase. This recent visit the quality and selection of fish was below par for the expectation at this price point. While the presentation is still top notch, there are better options (especially in this area) at this that are worth patronizing.
View on GoogleTraditional Japanese sushi restaurant. Serves good quality seasonally interesting and varied fish selection that some may not be familiar with or like. Chefs and service team are always pleasant and do a good job. Personally never had a bad experience here. It’s a high end restaurant with price to match.
View on GoogleStill one of my favorite Japanese restaurant to go to for omakase. Always something new, something different. And yet, some familiar tastes and dishes. Plus, some good limited edition sakes. Good ambience and service too. What’s there not to like? [update Sep 2020: still one of my go-to for that familiar style of sushi, the cordial team and attentive service]
