I tried this stall for the first time on a rainy Monday and went with the Monday special Black Fungus Mushroom Chicken Soup for $6.50, and added pumpkin rice for $2. The kind boss even offered to drizzle some curry over my rice. I may have set my expectations too high, as I was hoping for a rich soup / 老火汤 style given the 'Souperich' name. Instead, the homely-style soup had a medium-light consistency. The chicken was tough and tasteless, which is understandable since the nutrients may have gone into the soup. The shiitake mushrooms were also oddly tough. Thankfully, the black fungus was soft and the serving was generous. There was no hint of MSG, but there was an overly sweet note so I wonder if sugar was added to enhance the taste. On the other hand, the pumpkin rice was quite tasty. I wish I had skipped the curry drizzle, as the rice tasted very nice on its own.

Delicious to drink, delicious to eat, can't stop praising it! Pumpkin rice is fragrant, fish dumplings are tasty, soup is delicious! There is no msg added and is freshly cooked/boiled everyday. Highly recommend the lotus roots with scallop and peanut soup. The pork is very tender and simply falls off the bone. 😋😋

Yummy and healthy soup! I’m most surprised with the portion, comes in a super big bowl, like noodle bowl! Pumpkin rice is fragrant too. I’ll revisit~ They accept CDC!

The pumpkin nice is very nice but quite pricey at $2. Normal rice is 50cents. The soup ranges from $5.5 to $6.5. They use plastic bowl which is bigger than normal soup stall. The soup is nice and not too salty. They claim no msg added. They don't let you chope seat but you confirm will get one after ordering and paying for the food, so you just need to queue directly for the food. You don't get to choose where to sit.If you sit inside, it gets pretty hot as the soup is boiling hot and the place is very crowded. Ambience is not good with the staff shouting and pots clanging.
