I had an amazing dining experience at Sinmanbok! The service was outstanding—every staff member was attentive, friendly, and made us feel so welcome. The food was absolutely delicious, but the highlight has to be the soy crab. It was incredibly fresh, rich in flavor, and definitely one of the best I've ever had. The banchan were all tasty as well, with every dish complementing the BBQ perfectly. The real surprise came at the end—the fried rice cooked on the BBQ pan with the pork belly drippings and kimchi was simply incredible. It was packed with smoky flavor and so addictive that it completely blew my mind! Every bite was bursting with flavor, and it was the perfect way to end the meal. Highly recommend this place if you're looking for authentic Korean BBQ, excellent service, and unforgettable food. I'll definitely be back!
View on GoogleHeard about this place many many times but this was my first time here. Food was good and really value for money! Their $31 set included free flow meat, a side, a stew, fried chicken, a pancake, and free flow banchan. Blows my mind how they are sustaining such a set on this economy! Everything tasted good, the flavours were quite intense and probably go well with soju. We were there at about 9pm on sunday night and we got a seat immediately. Staff were attentive and fast. Whole place had great vibes.
View on GooglePleasant and good service overall for Korean Restaurant. Bbq meat quality was normal. Ordered $55 beef and $50 beef portion, and pork, and felt the beef meat quality wasn’t that good, very difficult to chew, had quite a lot of elastin gristle..? Best best Korean fried chicken, highly recommended. Juicy and nice batter. Reminds me of the time I had chimac Nice banchan (side dishes) - tuna mayo is a surprised, marinated onions tasty. Bad atmosphere - other tables talking really very very loud, it’s difficult to handle such loud noise, smell of bbq after leaving shop (no choice?) Restaurant was not flexible to allow 4 pax to use the 6pax reserved area even though we were ok to meet the requirements / spending which was such a pity. The waiter did not even bother to understand when we asked and turned us down saying that area is reserved, and for 6 pax. My friend was heavily 7-8 months pregnant and needed some space and privacy. We were there from 7.45pm to 9pm and the 6pax area was empty all the way. The yoghurt taste drink given by the restaurant was a gimmick, it was not yakult nor to aid digestion, upon reading the ingredients it was just sugar-water with yoghurt flavoring, and sugar from high fructose corn syrup… You have competitors which did better in the aspects above, and that’s why their business is extremely good, something to reference to. Overall this restaurant I still wish to rate 4 stars and hope you will do better and better. It’s been many years since I last visited your restaurant and I hope it gets better and better.
View on GoogleAbsolutely loved this hidden gem! The Korean fried chicken was incredibly crispy yet tender on the inside — easily some of the best I’ve had. Their soy bean paste stew was rich, comforting, and full of depth, with a pleasant surprise: a small half crab inside, which wasn’t mentioned on the menu but added amazing flavour. The banchan selection was impressive with top up allowed, and was really fresh and tasty. Prices are super economical too (no GST!) and the portions, especially the chicken, were very generous. The place was clean, and the atmosphere was calm and pleasant — perfect for a relaxed and satisfying meal. I’ll be back to try more of their menu next time. Highly recommended! Edit: Came back again for their BBQ set and the meat was really well seasoned and juicy! Another great evening with friendly service! 👍🏻👏🏻
View on GoogleEnjoy unlimited cuts of meat for $31, including pork ribs, pork collar, pork ribs, chicken, and beef brisket, with my favs being the pork collar and beef brisket. Each table is entitled to select from a few sides, including: - Kimchi, spicy tofu, or army stew - Kimchi or seafood pancake - Steamed egg, rice cake, or rice cake with noodles - Fried, gochujang, or soy chicken The steamed egg complemented the meats well, being light and fluffy which cut through the richness of the meats. I enjoyed the spicy tofu stew as well which was warm and comforting. The seafood pancake lacked a chewy bite to it, and the chicken was a tad too dry. That said, I loved the selection of sides that came along with the unlimited flow of meat, all for $31+. ✉️ follow me @BrieVco on Instagram, TikTok & YouTube for more!
