The environment is not too great. The ceiling is short and the room smells slightly moldy. The bullfrog is rather generous, contains lots of meat. It is cooked perfectly, tender and meaty. The potatoes used are also well chosen, very suitable for 干锅. The 拔丝地瓜 is rather questionable. It actually tasted great at first, crunchy and chewy. However, the sugar quickly turns into frost and it became powdery and not too pleasant. The lamb stewers can be really spicy but i think it tasted great. Overall, can be worth a visit if their cooking suits your taste.
View on Google蜀乡坊 serves authentic Sichuan cuisine with bold and flavorful spice levels that really hit the spot. The dishes were rich, fragrant, and full of that classic mala taste. The highlight for me was the candied sweet potato (拔丝地瓜) — perfectly crispy outside, soft inside, and not overly sweet. Definitely a must-order dish when visiting!
View on GoogleOrdered the Chongqing grilled fish and dry pot potato chips. The fish was very fresh, huge portion, and delicious. The soup was just right for less spicy and not too salty. It comes with lotus root, bean sprouts, seaweed, and fungus. However, I don't think there's an option to add other ingredients. The grilled fish is definitely 5 stars for me. The potato chips were alright which I'd give them 3.5stars. Overall, very satisfying meal.
View on GoogleIf you're searching for an authentic taste of Sichuan in the heart of Chinatown, Shu Xiang Fang on Temple Street is a fantastic find. This restaurant offers a vibrant array of Sichuan cuisine in a charming setting, complete with wooden bamboo walls that add to its cozy atmosphere . The food is undeniably tasty. The menu features a wide selection of well-loved dishes, from the spicy and fragrant Chongqing Spicy Chicken to Sichuan spicy wontons . The skewers are also a highlight, and the restaurant thoughtfully offers plenty of excellent non-spicy options, such as simply seasoned kebabs that let the freshness of the meat shine through . The service is consistently described as attentive and friendly, contributing to a delightful dining experience. Staff are quick to respond to requests, ensuring everything runs smoothly . Beyond the great food and service, Shu Xiang Fang offers excellent value with generous portions and reasonable prices, making it ideal for family gatherings or group dinners . As a special bonus, the restaurant features a private dining room equipped with karaoke—a pleasant surprise that adds a fun element to any celebration . For anyone seeking a delicious and authentic Sichuan meal in a lively setting, this spot comes highly recommended. Only downside - Because of the fans, the food is getting cold very quickly.
View on GoogleTonight’s dinner was a full-on spicy Sichuan feast 🌶️🔥 Every dish came loaded with bold flavors, fragrant chili oil, and that addictive mala kick that keeps you going back for more. The spicy fish was rich and numbing in the best way, the stir-fried dishes were packed with wok hei and seasoning, and even the vermicelli soup was comforting with just the right amount of heat. What made the meal even better was the atmosphere — a table full of emptied plates, shared dishes, and everyone reaching for “just one more bite.” Messy table = amazing food 😆 If you love authentic Chinese spicy food with strong flavors and generous portions, this meal definitely hits the spot. Not fancy dining, but the kind of place you leave feeling satisfied and happy. 8.5/10 — spicy, flavorful, and perfect for sharing with friends 🍻
