Wonderful ambience, soft chill pop music, wooden tables, comfortable seats, mild air con. Still have quite a few cupcakes and bakes available at 5pm. Sgd7.80 for a slice of butter cake that's a bit dry, topped with thick icing that's pure sugar, and one blueberry for aesthetics, it isn't my favourite bake of theirs. Would recommend their truffle tart instead. Complimentary water served, serviette provided. Not many seats indoors, about 12 maybe. Outdoors also about the same, slightly more maybe. Would recommend chilling here over a lazy weekday afternoon.

Had a lovely time at Plain Vanilla Telok Ayer! The food and bakes were delicious even for my lack of sweet tooth. A big shoutout to Rachel, Bao An, and Michael for their warm and friendly service. They were welcoming, attentive, and made us feel well looked after throughout our visit. Great customer experience. Will definitely be back again when in the area. Good place to chill.

I had a really lovely experience at Plain Vanilla Telok Ayer. The café has a warm and cozy atmosphere, perfect for a relaxing brunch or coffee break. I tried both their cupcakes and the brunch menu. The cupcakes were soft, moist, and not overly sweet – you can really taste the quality ingredients. The brunch menu was also fantastic. The portion size was very generous and definitely value for money, and everything tasted delicious. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the service was smooth throughout. Overall, it was a very enjoyable visit and I would definitely come back again. Highly recommend this place if you’re around Telok Ayer and looking for great brunch and desserts!

Visit on Mar 20, 2026 Need energy boost during mid day strolling, in the hot humid climate. The muffin are very crumbly and filled with choco chip goodness, vanilla bean cupcakes also pleasant, light and airy. Service are very friendly, thank you for the warm welcome. Indoor seating area are nice and cool enough

Nice spot with outdoor seating for a morning coffee. I had the Fresh Fruit Bowl with Greek yoghurt - it was alright. The baked goods looked and smelled amazing
