ig: @lifetogether97 ——————————————— korean food is one of our favourite cuisines ever and we’re so glad to have popped by noodle star K! although they mainly specialise in korean noodle dishes, we were amazed by the variety of other food they served 🤤 / beef short plate / -$17.80 tender, tasty and too good!! quantity was never ending also 😆 a korean food staple and we would defo get this again! / kimchi pancake / -$22 crispy, not too spicy and packed with lots of flavour. even after we brought the leftovers home and heated it up to eat it again, it tasted exactly like when we ate it at the restaurant! 🙂 / steamed egg / -$8 hard to go wrong with this dish but we felt like it could’ve had a little more flavour! 🧂 / mix dumpling (pork meat + kimchi pork meat) / -$12.80 preferred the pork dumpling to the kimchi pork dumpling because taste wise it just clicked better. very generous with the meat portions 😍 / myeong dong kalguksu / -$19.80 noodles were super yummy and the texture felt almost like udon 🥰 soup was so tasty and we literally finished the whole bowl of soup! / boiled pork wraps / -$16.80 would’ve loved more lettuce to wrap the pork with!! pork servings were aplenty and super tender too, paired really well with their sauce! 🤝🏼 / cold barley tea / -$3 great thirst quencher and we love barley tea cuz it helps to reset our tastebuds 🤩 service was excellent too and staff were really friendly! also, they offer free melona ice cream with a google review and they have an ongoing liquor promotion (30% off) 🤯 there’s also a member’s promotion for potato starch / arrowroot noodles, with vouchers to offset your purchase if you sign up for their free membership! thank you noodle star K, you guys have set the bar high for korean food along tanjong pagar 😋
View on Google(invite but only raw and honest opinions oki!) raw marinated crab unlike the ones I had in Korea, this had a much milder flavor profile. this was actually a huge plus for me, as I low-key wasn’t a fan of the super intense, overly “raw” taste you sometimes get over there. it was incredibly a fantastic and flavorful way to kick off the meal! sweet and sour pork super yummy and a total classic! you really can’t go wrong with this one, it had the perfect crunch and tang. fried chicken wings honestly, I expected a bit more of a flavor punch here. it wasn’t bad, but the seasoning wasn’t super unique imo; I’ve definitely had similar ones elsewhere heh… mixed mandu (Gogi & Kimchi) both dumplings were beautifully plump, juicy, and packed with flavor! I definitely preferred the gogi one though naengmyeon so refreshing and executed perfectly! the icy broth and chewy noodles were exactly what we needed to cool down and cut through the heavier flavors jjajangmyeon the sauce was incredibly savory and rich, coating those gorgeously chewy noodles perfectly. my only tiny gripe is that I wish they were a bit more generous with the meat chunks! for more food reviews, do check out nomnomrach on instagram and drop a follow 💗
View on GoogleBeen here a few times already and they’ve been super consistent every visit. Dumplings and jjajangmyeon are both delicious. I really love their cold noodles, especially with the vinegar and mustard combo that you can adjust yourself. Finally tried the cold soy milk noodles this time—such a unique experience since you can go savoury (salt) or slightly sweet depending on your mood. The sliced pork was also really good—tender, juicy, and served with boiled napa cabbage and lettuce, which helps cut through the richness nicely. Will definitely keep coming back 👍
View on GoogleFirst time here. Excellent service by Issac - he serves, he cleans the tables, he brings us our food continuously and all with a smile very politely. What a good experience. We will definitely come back. Thank you.
View on GoogleFeels authentic. Tried the cold noodle, which is something new to me on Mother's Day. Having a sign, " please wait to be seated" would be beneficial. Otherwise, patrons maybe waiting outside, not knowing what to do. True to its advertisement, thin skin and overflowing fillings. Cold Soup was refreshing. Promotions if you are member.
