If you’re wondering if you should try this place, go ahead and make a booking - you can get 25% off on vouchers on Chope too. Ordered the Ebisu Course (9 courses for $149). It starts off slow with the beef tendon soup, then comes around strong with Wagyu sashimi - raw beef sashimi/sushi with Uni and caviar. If you haven’t had raw beef before, it’s worth the try. Wish there was liver sashimi tho! Sure, grilling on a crystal is cool, but the cuts of meat used was the star of the show. It’s wagyu, but it’s not overly rich. We especially enjoyed the tenderloin (which they saved for last). Finished off with the choice of wagyu curry rice, chicken soba or the wagyu donburi. We had the curry and the donburi - both were amazing, but if I had to choose one, it’d be the donburi. The service staff are attentive and well-mannered, and we had a great time. Meal took about an hour and fifteen minutes from start to finish - perfectly timed for us.

This is our first time here dinner in this Japanese style BBQ, the way the restaurant cooks the meat is do different that we can easily taste the original flavor as they used a crystal plate to heat up pork and beef above a table-up gas-stove. The staff is very friendly and the atmospheres is good for friends to enjoy the dinner time with wine a d sake. Will definitely come back again.

I recently visited Niku Katsumata, a cozy restaurant. I had the pleasure of dining here twice and both experiences were delightful. One thing that stood out to me was the unique self-made sauce and the coarse sea salt. The addition, enhances the flavor of the meat. I tried a variety of dishes. The Chinese cabbage salad was refreshing, and the beef soup was rich and flavorful. The highlight, of course, was the Wagyu meat – it was perfectly cooked and tender. The curry beef rice had just the right amount of spice. I also ventured to try the raw beef, which was surprisingly delicious and fresh. To end my meal on a sweet note, I opted for the yuzu sorbet, which was a delightful palate cleanser. I will be returning for more delicious meals in the future.

Unique experience. It’s not all about fatty oily super rich wagyu. So if that’s your jam, this may not be your thing. We were able to try everything from leaner cuts to fatty ones and beef sashimi as well, and appreciate them all. They cook their meats on a crystal plate instead of over charcoal, so it’s juicier and surprisingly the lean cuts don’t stick. You experience everything from chewy to melt in your mouth to tender to bouncy depending on the cut. With the different cuts, you’re recommended different condiments to pair the meat with. Lemon, or smoked salt or sauce. It’s not cheap (but also cheaper than most Japanese omakases), but you’re really paying for the quality of the meat. I especially loved the beef sukiyaki bowl and the donburi with broth. The staff are also very sweet and attentive.

Been here at least 3 times! Beef is amazing!! Pork is also good. The chef will cook the beef for you and give an explanation about the cut. Quality is guaranteed here. There’s also always a lot of Japanese customers so I’m guessing they are authentic!
