This was a delightful surprise! I originally just wanted a simple dinner, but I didn't realize it was a French bistro, and the food far exceeded my expectations. You could tell they put a lot of effort into it. The chef clearly has a knack for these dishes; each dish wasn't just one flavor, but rather layered and complemented, even the dessert had a touch of jam – a thoughtful touch that many restaurants don't have. Since I can't drink alcohol, I can't recommend anything specific, but the food was truly excellent! Very high quality!
View on GoogleWe really enjoyed our meal tonight! The snails were flavourful and the salad had a nice touch of pesto and olive oil. We also had the mushroom truffle croquette was rich and packed with flavour. For mains, the beef cheek was sublime! We thoroughly enjoyed the tenderness, and the red wine coming through the sauce too. The barramundi was also firm and skin was crisp. The potatoes were also superb.
View on GoogleHad the croquettes, cheese & charcuterie platter, tarte flambee, duck confit, and prawn linguine - everything was delicious (except for the dark sourdough which wasn’t to my liking, though more a personal choice than the food itself). Service was friendly and attentive.
View on GoogleWas there as part of Dining week on a Friday evening. Staff were polite and attentive from reservations to the actual dining experience. Food especially the steak was very well executed! I’ve seen other tables risotto which also looks yummy! The wine list was extensive. All in all a very pleasant experience, and would love to go back. Honestly it could have been better with ala carte rather than the dining city menu - which is pate, entre, main and dessert.
View on GoogleOverall, 4.5/5 stars! We ordered the lunch set, which came with complimentary bread and butter. For starters, we had the salmon rillettes and tarte flambee. For mains, we had the barramundi as well as mushroom and truffle risotto. We did not add on for the desserts. The complimentary bread was average, and it was not warm upon serving. The salmon rillette and risotto stood out - will definitely reorder. Service was alright but could be improved. We asked for a refill of our water and the waiter forgot about it. The waiter also had his hand on our plate before asking us if he could clear our plate. Main dining hall was not the coolest but at least a shelter from the heat!
