This is a fully-vegetarian food court with a peaceful ambience in the heart of busy Chinatown. We ordered beehoon from the economical rice store, soup noodles and a steamed bun. The food was not too bad although I wish the bee hoon was less oily. Food portion was ok. All in all, quite reasonably priced for the location. Worth checking out!
View on GoogleI got Laksa , Chicken Rice and Wanton Mee here. They serve a different menu everyday, if you are feeling a tad bit adventurous, come on in to visit Lian Xin. My most memorable dish is the Laksa so Im gonna describe my experience of the Laksa. Burst of flavours and taste when I started my first mouthful of the noodles with the soup 😍 Not too spicy, so good for me (if you love spicy, feel free to add the sambal chilli) Noodles have a firm and chewy texture, love it too 😬 This place is fully vegetarian with no alliums. Conveniently located near Maxwell MRT, only 5 minutes of walking distance from Exit 2. Highly recommended for vegetarians and tourists if you are around the Town area for visiting and want an air-conditioned place to rest and taste some delicious local cuisines 👍
View on GoogleSince the renovation, I have only visited this place twice. During my first visit, I ordered the Vegetarian Fish Soup. The broth was well-balanced in flavour, and the vegetarian fish complemented the noodle soup surprisingly well. On my most recent visit, I decided to try the mixed vegetable rice stall. Instead of rice, however, I opted for fried rice noodles. I selected three dishes, which came up to $5.50. The food itself was fairly ordinary, nothing particularly memorable, and while the portion size was reasonable, it felt somewhat disproportionate to the price paid. Given the relatively higher-than-usual prices, I do hope the establishment operates with some form of non-profit or charitable intention behind it.
View on GoogleA "blink and you miss it" purely vegetarian food court situated underneath the Buddha Tooth Relic Temple Museum. Go in using side doors along the longer sides of the temple in the middle, and you'll go down some stairs into a basement. Join a queue for mixed rice, noodles, or western food/ paus. Then queue up at the kopi stall for drinks. You pay at a kiosk where someone tallies your total and you can pay by cash, QR, or card. Seats further inside are cooler but noiser, nearer the door less noisy but warmer. You share tables with kind folks about. Don't forget to clear your tray at the end. Enjoy!
View on GoogleFirst time coming to here during lunch time and it was crowded. There are only a handful of stalls. If you are going at lunch time, be prepared you need to find available seats and table. By 130pm, it should be fine as there will be more available tables. Firstly, you need to queue at the stall and order your food (as there is western vegetarian food) and drink then proceed to queue to make payment. E-Payment or cash are accepted but need to queue accordingly for it. It's an air-conditioning environment. The entrance is at the open carpark beside the temple. After all, the food was great! 👍🏾💯
