I'm from Ipoh and has been staying in Spore more than 19 years always love food and dine, me and my family will not expect much from any of the stall who's promoting Ipoh dishes as long as its taste half like our hometown is consider good here. Went to tried last weekend with my family and we had ordered the following; just to shared we are superb upset and disappointed. 1. Lee Tong Kee special hor fun chicken soup - the hor fun is just a normal noodles, soup broth was so oily and tasteless, the chicken taste was awful with kinda smelly taste total failed. 2. Lee Tong Kee special dry hor fun chicken - same as above except the dry noodles is tasteless. 3. Prawn wantons soup - the soup was tasteless and oily , the meat of the wanton consider acceptable, my both nephews scoring 1 out of 10. 4. Chicken leg with mushroom - the way frying of the chicken was right and the mushroom was soft and tender however the oily smell really terrible. 5. The Ipoh iced coffee - this was terrible and worst than the instant coffee, I have rejected and they make me a new one with same taste. Honestly, if this restaurant wishes to promote Ipoh food, I will advise to send your chefs personally down to Ipoh to try all the local highlight and come back with improvement. The selection of food from the menu and taste no way close to even 1% , please work on the smell inside the restaurant and baby chair safety. Thank you.
View on GoogleDecent hor fun soup, not really famous Ipoh standard, $6.20 per bowl is a bit expensive. Default order will come with wet tissue charged additional $0.40 per piece so remember to cancel that before paying if you do not need it .
View on GoogleThe rice noodle were very smooth but really too oily. Chicken meat was so-so. Overall, nothing special.
View on GoogleHorfun was alright, but this is the portion for $10 worth of prawn wontons. Pretty pathetic..
View on GoogleUsed to be very yummy and worthwhile. However, things changed in 2016. Paid around $20 for 2 pathetic portion of hor fun, which consists of mainly noodles, and a small plate of steamed chicken. We used to be given a bowl of wantun soup (no wantuns of cos) but now when we asked for it, the old uncle reply: We don't give free soup! That's why I asked you to order additional soup earlier! No customer service, pathetic portion, so what even if we used to patronize. That would be the last time. Probably changed owners as had never seen the new faces before. Spend your money at the hawker street food which is nearby. More worthwhile.
