Tried the famous fried chicken briyani at Kamal and honestly… it was quite underwhelming. The rice itself was buttery and fragrant, which I liked. The chicken curry on the side was also flavourful and had a nice depth of spices. But the main highlight, the fried chicken, was disappointing. It was quite dry and didn’t have that juicy, crispy bite you’d expect. Even the crispy topping (serunding) wasn’t crispy at all. It was soggy and oily, which made the whole plate feel heavier than it should’ve been. At $8.50, I don’t think it was worth it. Had higher expectations given the hype, but this one didn’t quite hit the mark for me.

Exquisite banana prata for breakfast - and you can ask to add in an egg that makes it even better. Kamal has amazing ability to remember your prior orders so all I need to do now is just show up and all my favourite dishes and drinks appear before me within minutes, and I don’t even have to say anything (aside from thank you and how are you doing today). The lunch is phenomenal too - their chicken briyani is juicy and crispy at the same time and the rice is fragrant and flavourful. The cooks and the staff are hospitable to the dot - very much in love with this place and highly recommend it

ordered to pickup and it was ready within mins, ordered 4x briyani ayam goreng, 1 mutton briyani and 2 kampung chicken briyani. they even gave 3 free canned drinks. i wish they gave more of the cucumber acar and also give 3 pappadoms per briyani. overall taste is ok.

This popular Indian restaurant truly met our expectations. The staff were incredibly helpful, polite, and attentive, making us feel right at home. The food was absolutely delicious! We tried their famous fried chicken biryani and mutton biryani, both of which were well prepared and presented. The flavours were rich and aromatic, and the portion sizes were generous.
