Food and drinks were amazing! The overall vibes and environment were very nice and cosy. Service was so so good too. We had everything that was recommended and we enjoyed every single dish so much. Love all the lamb and goat dishes, the curry (have it with the coconut rice!!!!), skewers and samosa were SO GOOD. Buttermilk chicken was really good too. Some of their spiciest chilli was very kick so shiok. The mocktails were nice too! I’m not a chocolate person but the chocolate dome was so so good. And everyone loved the soft serve!

Kafe Utu... what an experience. ☺️ The African playlist had us vibing from the moment we sat down, and the food? The kind that makes you do a little happy dance after every bite. Every dish was packed with flavour, and there wasn't a single one we didn't enjoy. What made it even better was the team. Everyone was so warm and welcoming. Service was on point, attentive staff. Amazing food, great vibes, beautiful space, and genuinely lovely people. Definitely one of those places that leaves you already thinking about your next visit.

First, a big thank you to the staff, Jed, for his outstanding service! He was very professional, friendly, attentive, gave good recommendations, and made our experience a more enjoyable one! The second floor is warm and beautifully-decorated. I've not tried African food before so I don't know about the authenticity of the dishes, but the food was exotic and well-seasoned. My favourites were the grilled corn with various spices (not on the menu), and the Lamb Samosas.

We went here for a family dinner celebration and boy the experience exceeded all our expectations! The staff were very attentive and helpful, especially the restaurant manager Rich who went out of her way to make the dining experience very memorable at this beautifully decorated and comfortable shophouse. We’ve tried Nigerian and Ethiopian food before, but this place was special in its own way. Not too spicy and yet very flavorful, almost like home-cooked food. The sunset cauliflower was a big hit—nicely baked and tasty as was the Groundnut stew and Calamari Essaouira. Wife enjoyed the Malindi Croquettes which was quite unique. Actually, nearly everything was new to us. We ended with the Marula fritters and an exquisite Utu Dome; first time I’ve had such an interesting dessert. So, a great place for that special occasion. We’re now very eager to come here for their brunch and special teas/coffee if we’re in the hood.

Had a great lunch brunch here. Amazing genre of food. Gives one the experience of a lifetime. Jed was so hospitable and introduced me to a variety of African Gins and of course some very out of this world beverages. Food wise - I cannot ask for more. Beautifully crafted dishes made for communal dinning with your hands and pure experience. I’ll be back. And meanwhile to the crew. Keep this awesome place up. ❤️
