Old school Chinese eatery that I have not revisited for a long time. I always had the 三鲜饺子, its still my yo go whenever I’m here. It’s juicy and have a crisp top. First time trying the marinated pork belly noodle soup. The noodles look thick but it’s actually very light and easy to eat, soup taste good. Side dishes will always be my cucumber or 口水鸡. Everything is still good 😊
View on GoogleCosy and comfortable place that i would visit from time to time for their zha jiang mian, which is in my opinion, one of the best in town. While the xiao long bao might not be as refined as the version served at DTF, it has a wholesome homemade taste to it which I find enjoyable. The hot and sour noodles, fried rice and fried dumplings are also worth a try. For ne, a dessert of rice balls in rose water would always be a perfect ending to a delicious meal here. Food is reasonably priced, making it an ideal place to meet up with old friends.
View on GoogleI have visited many times over the years to satisfy my cravings for zha jiang mian and xiao long bao. Returning after a long hiatus, the place looks new and clean. The zha jiang mian is even better than before, with firm, chewy noodles and savoury minced pork. I find the xiao long bao more enjoyable than some others as the broth is less salty.
View on GoogleI’ve walked past this restaurant countless times after meals, and each time, something about it draws me in. The exterior is rather unassuming—your typical neighbourhood eatery—but somehow, it piqued my curiosity. One afternoon, I finally plucked up the courage to give it a try. Just as expected, nothing flashy inside. A simple interior with medium to large tables catering to all group sizes, much like any classic Chinese restaurant, with photos of their signature dishes lining the walls. We ordered Zajiang Noodles, Hot & Sour Soup, and Boiled Dumplings—determined not to overindulge. The noodles were chewy and bouncy, topped with a generous portion of meat and sauce, with shredded vegetables on the side. I was instantly captivated. It tasted unlike what I’ve had elsewhere—subtle yet flavourful, with a surprising depth and complexity. I almost regretted sharing it with my partner. Next came the Hot & Sour Soup. Aesthetically, it looked bland—just a clear, slightly thick broth with tofu, bamboo shoots, and a splash of red vinegar on top. I wasn’t expecting much. But it turned out to be really good—refreshing, balanced, and deeply satisfying. Simple perfection. Then came the boiled dumplings. The filling was juicy and naturally sweet, with a hint of Chinese wine that oozed out with each bite. By then, I was pleasantly full—but something caught my eye at the next table: a plate of prawn paste chicken. One of my ultimate weaknesses. Choosing between the regret of overindulging or missing out wasn’t difficult. Gluttony won. And oh my goodness—it was mind-blowing. Crispy skin without the greasiness, tender and juicy meat (thankfully not pink inside), and packed with robust flavour. You could taste the prawn paste through every layer—from skin to meat. At that point, any sense of diet or discipline went straight out the window. But honestly, it was worth breaking the rules. This place is definitely worth a return visit—and it’s reasonably priced too. What more could you ask for?
View on GoogleThe food was pretty average but the Chinese pizza and the red bean pancake really stood out. The xiao long bao and pan fried pork dumplings were good too. 15% discount with Grabpay. The individual plates they gave us to use was horrendously small, as small as the saucer for teacups! They also didn't give serving spoons for all dishes unless asked.
