Unbelievably amazing Japanese food. My friend made a reservation here pretty last minute and we got it almost immediately- went there without expectations as it’s a relatively new set up this year but every single dish was on point and delectable; it was an unexpected explosion of flavors in our mouths although the dish may seem pretty unassuming. The chefs were very attentive in making sure we were done with the previous course before cooking the next (they could see most patrons from their open kitchen) so every single time the dish is served it’s piping hot. We ordered 3 seafood dishes and every one boasted fresh ingredients with a delightful balance of condiments that gave it a 3 dimensional taste. Idk how they did it but I’m certainly coming back to try the rest of the dishes in the menu. 5 stars to this amazing restaurant that’s easily available for booking (unlike many that requires waiting for weeks or months) !
View on GoogleTried this restaurant as the reviews rating was high and it didn’t disappoint. Each dish crafted at Michelin star level. We were blown away by the creativity, quality and freshness of the dishes. Don’t miss the Cod and the clams. The restaurant ambiance and staff are very welcoming and chill. They have a great selection of Japanese beer and sake. We ll be back!
View on GoogleCame here for lunch and was informed the charcoal grilled dishes are not available. But the restaurant owner offered to prepare the cod fish for us without grilling. Overall, it was a pleasant experience and the lunch menu didn’t disappoint. Would come again for dinner next time.
View on GoogleChef Dylan (from The Masses) has truly brought his expertise and finesse to Iko. Every dish was well balanced, creative, thoughtful, and even though we thought we knew what the food would taste like, every bite still blew us away. Have literally made another reservation in the same week just because the food is so damned good.
View on GoogleThese dishes hit all the right spots for me. It was well flavoured, fresh and absolutely delicious. The uni was my fave as it was creamy and refreshing with a twist of the cauliflower purée. If you’re looking for a new Japanese place to impress your date, this is it.
