Came here with my family after seeing so many recommendations from the Korean community, and it definitely lived up to the hype. The food tasted just like what we had in Korea. The pork belly was top quality, tender with a nice chewy texture, and the special sauce was amazing. It cuts through the richness perfectly, and I think that’s what makes this place stand out from other Korean BBQ restaurants. The owner speaks excellent English and the service was outstanding from start to finish. Highly recommended for families. We’ll definitely be back! (By the way my korean wife validated the food too)
View on GoogleAs a Korean, I’ve been craving a simple, authentic samgyeopsal experience. Surprisingly, it’s been harder than I expected to find a place that serves great plain pork belly instead of marinated meats or gimmicky menu items. A colleague who comes here often recommended this place, and I’m so glad I listened. The owner was incredibly friendly, which made the experience even more enjoyable. The pork belly was exactly what I was looking for fresh, no pork smell at all, not too thick or too thin, and simply delicious. It reminded me of the kind of samgyeopsal I’d happily eat back home in Korea. The house special peanut sauce mixed with wasabi was also a pleasant surprise. It might not be everyone’s favorite, but we absolutely loved it. If you’re looking for authentic Korean BBQ that’s all about the quality of the meat, this place is definitely worth a visit. We’ll definitely be back!
View on Google⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We had the Jokbal Set, and it was absolutely delicious. The jokbal was incredibly tender and flavorful, and the makguksu was a perfect match. The portions were incredibly generous—honestly enough for four adults! We forgot to take photos before we started eating, so the photo is of the leftovers we packed to take home. The staff even added extra side dishes for us when packing our leftovers, which was such a thoughtful gesture. The restaurant had a warm and welcoming atmosphere, and the tables were spacious and comfortable, making it a great place to enjoy a meal with family or friends. They also served a complimentary mini patbingsu for dessert, and it was absolutely delicious! It tasted homemade and carefully prepared, and we could really feel the care that went into it. The staff checked on us several times during our meal to make sure everything was okay and were genuinely warm and attentive throughout our visit. Thank you for the wonderful food and outstanding hospitality. We'll definitely be back!
View on GoogleBrought my dad to try Korean food but pick the wrong restaurant. Helper decided she wants spicy chicken noodle, FYI, it's just noodles only (kinda like Korean instant noodles you can cook yourself). Hot and spicy chicken - taste like sweet and sour chicken and batter more than chicken. Placed my dad's order 1st as my partner was trying to find parking. When we called the waitress to place our order, she pointed us to the pad at the table (well, no one told us to use that to order); I had to approach the male boss to get water as given cups but no water. Well, I apologise to my dad and partner for choosing this restaurant cos I had better Korean food elsewhere. As my partner said it is ok, one and only time we are eating here.
View on GoogleSecond visit in a row because we couldn’t stop thinking about this place. This time we ordered the jokbal, and it was so good. The meat was incredibly tender and moist, while the skin had that nice chewy texture that jokbal should have. It didn’t feel greasy at all, and every bite was really satisfying. The kimchi soup was another surprise. Rich, tangy and just the right amount of spice. It went so well with the jokbal. Honestly, I don’t understand why this place isn’t more popular. If you didn’t know about it, you’d probably just walk past. It’s only a 2 minute walk from Maxwell MRT Exit 3, and definitely worth checking out if you’re craving authentic Korean food.
