Been a while since I last had this as the queue is almost always long. Thankfully, my colleague arrived earlier, though he still had to wait about 40 minutes. I ordered the small fish soup with rice, which came to $6.50 in total. The portion was decent, but what stood out was the thickness of the fish slices. They were generously cut, giving each bite a satisfying texture and making the meal especially enjoyable.

Worth the 50 pax queue? To me yes. I have done this over and over. This is probably my 100th bowl here already. I first loved this in 2010 due to the generous amount of fish. At $10, the amount here is probably 3x that of similarly priced fish soup. But over time, I found their fish slices to be really good too. Thick but still tender enough. Not much corn starch but still very smooth. The soup clean (some say bland) but has depth from the fish bones and aroma from garlic. If I've to nitpick, it'll only be their use of lettuce which introduces water taste to it. But really, don't need to change anything, and I'll continue to have another 100 bowls here. Service was actually good. They are efficient. No frills. Aunties are nice but understandably gets frustrated if they are slowed down at times during ordering, considering they sell a few hundred bowls a session.

Fish was fresh, thick, generous — 7 pieces, no complaints. The soup? Bland, forgettable. I asked for extra chilli. Got a glare and a curt "NO." No smile, no explanation, just attitude — over chilli. Bland soup I could forgive. Getting scolded for a polite request? Not coming back. Heading to Meng Kee Fish Soup or Piao Ji Fish Porridge next — better flavour, better manners, same or better price.

Super looong queue and the waiting time simply 🫠 well just look at the crowds . Unless you have spare time and don't mind going back late to your office, you might wanted to consider some other stalls. Fish slices are quite fresh, but here are the dilemma ,so for fresh fish slices, should one sacrifice their precious time?sup just peppery, average at most. As diner ,made your choice either join the super long queue or move on. The auntie that collect payment here, has no concept for politeness neither good customer service. She was super LOUD and don't have any shred of patience with the first timer customer.🥴. And with this kind of service attitude, would you endure the humiliation and wasting your precious time? Well it's up to you.

Pretty good. Never had so much fish in a fish soup before and its chunky and fresh. I wouldnt queue during peak times though. Also its cash only and they prep orders from the queue in advance. I didnt have cash so had to step out to get some while a kind soul behind me saved my spot. The store aunty noticed that my order wasnt take earlier and asked for it which is crazy since there are so many people's orders to note down and would be understandable to miss mine and let me requeue. Insane awareness.
